"Paul in Sitzerath has been for good food for generations. Whole hosts of now grown-up contemporaries once pilgered into the small village high up in the district of St. Wendel in the municipality of Nonnweiler. At that time, the mother of today's operator Thomas Nickels was still in the kitchen and made the village guesthouse an El Dorado for Schnitzel and Salatfans. There are more than twenty years between this description and my last visit. One thing has remained: the love of well-made products and their refinement to grandiose dishes. Today, however, the ingredients come either from one of the house gardens distributed throughout the village, which were saved from their excavation at the initiative of the organic top cook Sigrune Essenpreis (the name is program! years ago, familiar and also produce forgotten vegetables and fruit varieties, or from organic farms mainly from the vicinity. Not only did the operators, Thomas Nickels and his wife Sigrune Essenpreis, write on their flags. What is offered on the menu of the restaurant at the time and today as numerous regular guests is so well off the other gastronomic offer in an entire region. Or where else is there a whole artichoke with raspberry vinegar red onion Vinaigrette and a salad made from three kinds of white beans? Even the fork spaghetti with grilled yellow green zucchini and Patissons, dried tomatoes, limonen capers olive oil served with a pickled salmon trout you would otherwise look forgiven or as at our last visit try a tomato essence (the term soup would also not only know the intensity of this dish to describe nutritional consciousness, which gives the guest a happy smile in the face of food. The message is as simple as clear: good food needs good and honestly produced basic products, knowledge about their effect and a preparation that focuses on the product and highlights its uniqueness. The menu in the agriturismo Paul is a single statement against the spirit of time, against Burgerwahn and an already strangely graceful culinary unification that always drives new stilblooms. The concept, which with its uncompromising handwriting, attracts more and more guests (former rest days of the restaurant could be withdrawn due to increased demand, reads as a reflection on long forgotten virtues. The Sauerbraten, which was also fed into our last visit for 14 days and prepared in the stone oven, awakens childhood memories, the attached dumplings and the apple Rotkraut are so profanely divine that you are seriously wondering why you have to go to a restaurant to enjoy this kind of thing? Perhaps it is this longing, in a time when no one can take so much time for himself and his soul-healing really time, perhaps it is what makes up the success of the agriturismo Paul. And maybe the guests take it off to their hosts! That they bake their bread themselves, put their vinegars on their own, cultivate vegetables and lettuce if somehow possible in the house gardens seateraths themselves, all these are not coincidences, but expression of a consistent attitude! The fact that the effort is not to have at the bargain price does not hurt me in any way. For the Sauerbraten a proper portion are raised 22,50 and the tomato essence is rewarded with 10, Euro. The cauliflower flan with hazelnut crown of my accompaniment, served in this variant with marinated sour beans and radish fruits beats with 13.50 euros to beech, the Hohenloher lamb with spiceCousCous and mangold vegetables, a truly grandiose combination can be tasted the hosts 27.50 euros."

"The restaurant meyershof is conveniently located with good connection to the a62 country chair trier and close to sights such as the Celtic ring wall or the non-nweiler statue and is more popular place for hikes along the premium route “Saar-Hunsrück-Steignahe”. sufficient parking is available in front of the former ward. enter the meyershof, located on the right is the small village restaurant and on the left in a large two-part room the restaurant, comfortably furnished with ceiling beams, old black and white photos with village view on otzenhausenan at the walls and darker möblierung. service: host is the family junkes- feis. the chef is in the kitchen that serves chefin, and I can only say: both make their job very good. we were served very friendly and inconspicuously. the waiting times for drinks and eating were very pleasant. but now to the most important: to eat: in the meyershof you can choose from a small but fine card. we had to be prepared with a brittle tip with a table top riccota ravioli at 5,70 € 3 roasted sprinkles “Provence” with peperoni, garlic, garlic and early lice at 8,50 € rumpsteak (approx. 220 gr with pfeffer sawnesauce, pommes and salat to 17,50 € per day with us the background menus can be safe to determine the suppe was a pleasure, like the garnelen. the rumpsteak long hanging, absolutely slim and fried on the point was tender and juicy. the white carving of the calf as well as good Austrian beautiful thin and with a spicy panad that only the meat loosely covered, golden brown baked. there was nothing to put on the pads, the tasty self-made pommes reminded of “Sweden”, the supplement salad was crispy fresh, the dressing was spicy. as a greeting from the kitchen was a tasty cucumber with fresh crumbs and a brote reminds of focaccia. Drinks to eat: for starters a champagne house brand at 2,50 €; for the main course a bottle of mineral water at 4,50 € and a Chilean red vina maipo at 5,00 € Daufl flights branca at 2,00 € and espresso at 1,80 € steak and white carvings are fairly moderately calculated, but € 8.50 for 3 (minimum Estonian cloves are completely covered. "In general I once again traveled with the motorbike and put a stop in the Trattoria “Keltika” coming from Neuhütten at the entrance of Otzenhausen. The local namesakes have built an impressive fortress on Dollberg over 2000 years ago. At the foot of the Ringwall Otzenhausen, known under the historically misleading name “Hunnenring”, a Celtic village is currently being reconstructed, as it may have seen in the Celtic period within the fortification. Ambiente The Trattoria in the immediate vicinity of this “Keltenpark” is located in the premises of the club home of the football club. If you cross the restaurant you can sit on the balcony overlooking the lawn square, surely popular as a log place with the fans of the VfR Alemannia 1921 Otzenhausen. I rather took place in front of the restaurant on one of the heavy beer garden wood benches, overlooking Keltendorf and quite quiet, as the main road is not busy. The interior of the Trattoria is rather simply furnished in the “Vereinsheimlook” with decorative furniture. However, the operators of the restaurant have created a pleasant atmosphere with a tasteful decoration, a well-placed large antique dressing with a variety of good drops on top and a large slate table with the culinary offer of the Trattoria cuisine. Parking is sufficient in front of the restaurant. Service The service in the “Keltika” is easily friendly. The young serviceman answered my question as to whether I could order something to eat at an advanced lunchtime – it was 14:15h – with a “naturally, the kitchen has also opened until after 14:00 when there are still guests. She then also brought the “speech card” and accepted the order. My mineral water came quickly, the pizza after a pleasant 25 minutes. Kitchen The menu is very clear. In addition to the “normal” map, the restaurant offers, like today, also Rumpsteak or Schnitzel dishes. As a permanent menu serves in the “Keltika” a slate table, on the front you will find appetizers such as Bruscetta, roasted bread with fresh tomatoes or “Auberginen Cordon Bleu”, panned eggplant filled with tomato – Mozarella, then there are two salads for selection and pasta in different variations spaghetti, tortellini, penne, lasagne. The back is dedicated to pizza. There is a basic pizza Margherita to €6 and you can compose your wish pizza yourself, the additional cover beats with €0.50 for pineapple, rocket, onions, €1 for salami, mushrooms, spinach, parmesan plank, olives, €1.50 for tuna, pepperoniwurst, feta and finally €2 for parmaschinkens and salami Milano. I chose pizza “saarschmecker” with Parmaschinken, Olives, Rucola and Parmesanhobel. As a greeting from the kitchen there was initially a small plate with a tomato column with mozzarella, grilled eggplant chibs, rocket, small cloth strips and a great well seasoned Mayo paste with fresh herbs for dipping. I was very pleased with the implementation of my pizza-wunsches. Served was a plate-sized porcelain baked in a stone oven, completely according to my taste, not too thin and not too thick, loosely crispy baked and, above all, not softened towards the middle, as it crows when cutting. The pizza with a slightly retained portioned tomato sauce was well covered with tasty black olives, thin aromatic parma ham, crunchy rock leaves and plenty of freshly planed parmesan on top. Since I like to wish my pizza a little more picnic, I served at the unrequired bottle provided on the table with probably self-adjusted chili oil. Conclusion: good service, good Italian cuisine, nice possibility to return not only for hikers and visitors to the Ringwall, the Keltenpark or the reservoir. 100% recommended p.s.: as I could see on a slope, the Trattoria also invites to various events such as the Italian evening with LIVE MUSIK and Italian buffet"
