"‘Wet day’ spontaneous lunch with Husband came here cautiously as we didn’t think they were open. Lunch was fantastic Rib special with chips executed perfectly with right portion size to cost ratio (very, very good chips and rib sauce) and Porcini Mushroom Risotto given the ridiculous award !! Absolutely delicious. Good cold beer and nice quiet atmosphere with background music as it should be there, but not too loud you can’t talk. Staff friendly and helpful and also have great daily specials ie kids eat free Tuesday etc. Will definitely be back!"

"Three of us ate here and were all a bit disappointed with part of our meals.The salt and pepper calamari was tender and the salad had a pleasant dressing but all the chips were unpleasant.To start with they were rather cold.They were a bit shriveled and dry. Obviously they had been waiting a while before they were served.The fish was excellent.Desserts were large and the mousse was light and fluffy.The apple pie was so -so, but came with lots of cream which saved the day.The staff were all very pleasant."

"Had the seafood basket and really enjoyed everything in it. Light and fresh with options for battered or crumbed on pretty much everything. The food is very good, but what got us over the line to an 'excellent' rating was the cleanliness and customer service. The staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Lovely little find in Birkdale."

"Great food, everything was cooked perfectly. Had family come from interstate for my mums birthday and it was full belly’s and smiling faces all round, not one complaint to be had. Great customer service from Meeks working the bar!!! 10/10"

"The second time was here, will not be a third time again. 1kg of pork. Was actually 750g with the bone and frozen on the inside. Re-ordered schnitzels (pork), was ok, vegetables was nice. Our table was sticky, so didn't want to touch it...and waitress couldn't add, even with a calculator, got the total wrong three times. Can understand why this restaurant is not busy like all other restaurants in the area. Such a shame, It has great potential"
