"Der rote Ochsen liegt im Naturpark Wackershofen bei Schwäbisch Hall, weswegen das Schnitzel Wiener Art vom schwäbisch-hallischen Landschwein getestet werden musste. Das Essen war lecker, die Pommes waren mir etwas zu fettig aber geschmacklich gut. Schade war dass einem trotz dem Schild im Biergarten 'Bestellungen für die Terrasse im 1.OG' nicht erlaubt wurde, sein Essen mit runter zu nehmen. Alles in allem mit Bedienung eine gute Leistung bei toller Atmosphäre und sehr freundlicher Bedienung, es war eher ruhig im Park (Vorsaison?). Mit Kindern hingehen und bitte nicht jedem eine Portion irgendwas hinstellen, das gibt zu viel Müll...und zwei Kinder werde von einer Portion gut satt!"

"We went there because it was recommended to us from a friend. We didn't know what to expect but it was a lovely experience. It is a cosy place with nicely decorated rooms, very good and varied beer from the local brewery. The menue is...divers enough to cater to all tastes and for small money you will get good food and a nice dessert. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable although sometimes it takes a bit longer for your food to reach you. That's partly because it is most of the time fully booked. I would recommend to make a reservation to avoid the rush.hour hustle. If you go there during lunch time make sure to ask about the plate of the day. Whenever i.m in Schwäbisch Hall i go there to have a tasty meal and a cold beer."

"L'ambiente è rustico e si può pasteggiare fuori se il tempo lo permette. La cucina è quella tedesca. Una sezione del menu è dedicata ai piatti regionali (Scwabisch) e a quelli di stagione. Nel periodo in cui sono andato era la stagione degli asparagi. Nonostante ciò, la zuppa di asparagi non era eccellente e molto cremosa a causa della panna più che degli asparagi. Anche il piatto principale (bistecca con cipolle e spetzle tipica della zona) ha assolto al suo compitino senza eccellere.Non accetta carte di credito."

"Als ich diese einmalige Weinstube im Herzen der Stadt wieder besuchen wollte, stand ich vor verschlossenen Türen. Die Weinstube Wuerth hat für immer die Pforten geschlossen. Für ein Lokal, das nicht mehr existiert ist es nonsens, eine Bewertung abzugeben. Posthum hat diese Weinstube für das köstliche Bretzenschnitzel oder die leckeren Käsespätzle, die höchste Auszeichnung verdient, die zu vergeben ist.Vielleicht gibt es eines Tages ein Remake (?)"

"Since we arrived to this restaurant, we felt uncomfortable for the way the waiter treated us. We should have left in that very moment. Unfortunately, we stayed. Besides waiting around minutes for our food, the experience with this same waiter was terrible. It's the...first time I've felt so disappointed since I live in Germany. I am not sure if it was because we're just young students, or because we're not german. So probably not the typical clients, but this is NOT an excuse to irrespect us. Ironic comments like: "don't you learn to close the door in your country or "you eat very slow" are some examples. He seemed to be annoyed by the fact that I did not order anything to drink, or because of us chose vegetarian options. He was definitely annoyed because one of my friends wanted to pay her food with her credit card, and also because we did not want to leave tips. Should we have left him a tip after all his annoying comments and waiting so long for our food? I don't think so. There are way to say things, and this man has NO CLUE of what service is. I am really surprised this restaurant, which honestly looks quite nice, has this type of employees. At least the bathroom is super clean and the food had a nice taste, it's the only reason this would not be a cero-rated review"

"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about the Goldener Adler. The ambiance of the restaurant was very attractive and yet the appearnce took us back to perhaps a period in the early to mid 1900's. I ordered the veal in a rich brown sauce that was outstanding. And my wife ordered a wiener schnitzel which she raved about. Add accompaning standard German salads, wonderful fried potatoes smothered in onions, hard crusted German Brochen rollls, and a German White Reisling wine, and how can you go wrong."

"This is a very modestly sized restaurant but located in a beautiful setting alongside the Kocher river, the garden area and landscaping with fountains is delightful. Its a perfect place to take guests during warm weather or meet for a romantic evening glass of Champagne. Delightful!"
