"This establishment has the best atmosphere in Westerham and neighbouring towns, being well run and generally more than good staff. That said the restaurant is disappointing. Having eaten a here few times, the menu looks adventurous, even exciting. When delivered to your table the presentation doesn’t disappoint at all but most,dishes fall very short of their potential. Combinations of Flavours that should, but just do not work well, many almost too bland to to command medium pricing, let alone the inflated cost. Generally I would have absolutely no problem paying the advertised prices, but not at this standard and the “schnitzel” coating was just oil, drenched breqd that ruined a flavoursome fish. Such a shame, as the waiting staff are let down by the food quality. This all said it is edible, however really should be several levels higher than it is. Hope it improves as everything else is of a high standard."
