"The restaurant here is fantastic – have eaten more than once in this family-run restaurant and have never been disappointed. the menu card is quite traditional Danish, but the chef can do everything on request. he has world class (kau) meat and fresh...Fish/Seafood the kitchen is a bit on the heavy side, I think the chef uses a lot of butter and cream, but everything is very tasty and of high quality. a lot is the house that is made out of the floor. the three cures “menu of the month” is good and often less traditional than the normal card. the choice of weeping is exceptional for such a small place in a small town, and in that many in the huge underground wine “Celler” to see in the middle of the restaurant! the high-end wines are often surprisingly quite expensive."

"In cosy surroundings in the forests outside Bryrup is Velling Koller. We were there in connection with schnitzel Thursday. Yes, you were reading right. Only schnitzler will be served this day. On the other hand, a portion with brased potatoes, peas, butter sauces and of course a boy on top only kr. 69 I thought I had to order twice, to be full. But it was not necessary. Not huge portions, but I think it was right. The food can also be ordered out of the house, which many used while we were there. The mood was lovely relaxed and we were served by a MEGET smiling and flink young man who really had control of his things. After the food we went a walk in the park and looked at rabbits, goats, horses and pigs. We will certainly come again. Maybe for fried prawns ad libitum, or hooked."

"Delicious Danish sandwiches and excellent, attentive service. It was our first time in Denmark, and we wanted to try the famous smørrebrød for lunch. Holgers Kro did not disappoint. The humble rye bread sandwiches get an uptown makeover at Holgers Kro and they’re delicious! The waiter took the time to explain the ingredients, suggest what to drink with the food, and give us insight to Danish culture. Before we left, he gave us a map and pointed out places we should visit while in Silkeborg. If you want to experience high quality Danish food with a warm welcome, definitely go eat at Holgers Kro. Velbekomme!"
