"YES! This is what food in Germany (or anywhere! should be. Simple, fresh and tasty. Although it was a busy Friday night, staff welcomed us with a good table and space for our nine month old with a Kinderstuhl high chair provided. This isn’t always the experience in any country but especially in Germany with no reservation it’s sometimes hard to find a space. We had a good table overlooking the terrace and street. We had steak, vegetables and potato they provided a small baked potato for our son. We had a desert each afterwards. The food was fresh and perfectly cooked (steaks correctly done, vegetables freshly cooked for a reasonable inner city price. The managers were very friendly and made sure everything was ok with our food and explained they had new seasonal dishes. The waiting staff were very busy, I guess the only improvement might be a quick check if we needed more drinks half way through the meal but in the other hand it is nice to be relaxed and have time to enjoy the food. No stars lost though as the overall experience and the staff are top! Would definitely recommend if you are visiting for Cologne. Nice trendy crowd, some people with dogs, some on their own, some bigger groups but a very friendly atmosphere. The German food revolution starts here!"

"The location, food, chefs and cleaner at the toilet were great and very friendly. However, the girls in the service.... I do not know what they do or who they think they are. They ignored us, were extremely arrogant and simply dumb. We were absolutely...shocked because providing service should be their job for which we as customers pay..!! I was even yelled at when I wanted to order food, that I had to order at the kitchen bar (as if I could know!!!?? . Anyways, these people should be trained and are simply in the wrong profession."

"Very delicious food in a nice atmosphere. In summer you can still use the beautiful beer garden and you will not be disappointed whether you try a pizza or the varied map. The staff is very accommodating and I am absolutely satisfied with the hygiene concept that I am always aware of when I am busy in other places to eat and I am dedicating how little care is placed there. Therefore, I would like to thank you here with 5 absolutely deserved stars for the beautiful relaxed enjoyable stays in the “TEATRO Solln”"

"We always visit Ludwigs on our annual trip to Karlsruhe for the Christmas markets in December. The location is central, there is a good buzz/ambience in the place, the staff are attentive and friendly, the food is consistent and never disappoints, the wine list offers a good selection, and we always leave happy customers!
