"A solid Korean restaurant that specializes in soups and stews. This place has been a reliable spot to get hearty Korean soups and stews whenever I’m feeling unwell. I usually go for their clear beef broth soups which they seem to do best. On my recent visit, I got to try the mul-naengmyun and the marinated pork slices combo. While the complimentary side dishes were a bit disappointing, all the entrées were delicious. The overall quality was similar to what you would get from an average restaurant in Seoul, but the prices weren’t too outrageous."

"Here ordered for lunch and had their spicy pork jasadillas, which were actually surprisingly good, with a great spicy taste to them and full taste with some delicious dipping sauce. boiled perfectly and a very beautiful shape this place. not sure why the stacked on scalions, but still not a bad dish from here."

"We love the food at Shanghai Gate! Their menu is big, and we've eaten around on it a lot, and we've never been disappointed. From Garlic Eggplant to Yu Xiang Pork with Steamed Bao to Stir Fried Beef with Crueller (delicious) to Mapo Fish, it's all worth getting again. Definitely go if you're in the area! The beautiful wall art on the back of the restaurant doesn't hurt either."

"I don’t come here often, but whenever I miss home home, I eat here. Their minced pork sauce over rice, grilled chicken leg, typhoon rolls, and milk tea are my favorites. My friends also like their corn egg rolls and rice noodle beef soup."

"First off, the back patio of this restaurant is worth going to to chill with friends especially during the warmer seasons. It has cute and aesthetic vibes and great to go with friends to, for both food and drinks! For food, I recommend all the items we ordered white trash hash, vegan Buddha bowl and the avocado toast. Each were flavorful and enjoyable to have. Would definitely come back for these dishes again."

"Went to Shaub-Zen for my husband's birthday a few weeks ago. The wait on Sunday evening was a bit long but acceptable. The pot with 2 soup bases was great which give you the options to cook food in different flavors. But the food portion was small which made you order more dishes to satisfy your party. The prices of the dishes are too high for the quality of the food. Will try other places instead of going back."
