"My partner and I were busy exploring bakewell on a busy Saturday and looking for somewhere to eat as most places were full, we have settled for some takeout on the puddingsalon. my partner had a sausage box that we couldn't really mumble about. if we wanted to be picky, we would say to improve the quality of the sausages and perhaps get them from one of the local metzgers in the city. the main problem was with my chip-storage. first the roll/kitchen was not even throttled, the chips were ever so easily underboiled and I had no possibility to sauce on the back. When I saw how I was never asked if I wanted a sauce at the order, I thought I would risk it as I suspect it would be moist enough anyway. we took our eating at the flow to eat and so I did not have the effort to return the chip butty to complain (the möwen have a good feed from him, although seeing as this place does not even get a simple chip butty I can not think I will come back. there are many other places in bakewell for fast eating."

"My partner and I decided to try Oka tonight The decor is modern, clean and bright. We were greeted upon arrival by friendly welcoming staff with big smiles. I opted for a selection of entrees rather than a main meal which were bought to our table promptly. The food was great fresh light and sumptious! My partner had a main of garlic prawns and stir fried vegetables which was a generous serve in fact too generous for him to finish! All meals and drinks are reasonably priced.Frank (I'm guessing the owner) was wonderful, visiting all tables and chatting with patrons whilst serving drinks and making recommendations. He had a way of making each patron feel special and attended to.Thoroughly enjoyable meal, great service and atmosphere. Highly recommended for an enjoyable meal in Palmerston."
