"Near our campsite and fresh from swimming in the Gironde we were pleased to have an outside table here at 7.30pm Sunday when most of the rest of Cognac was closed. The food was great. Snails then Cslves liver and crushed potatoes for me. Tomato and goats cheese tart and Pork fillet in cognac sauce for my wife. Service pretty efficient I think we had somehow opted into a set menu price that included wine and dessert. And when I came to pay, without coffee or dessert etc ., cos we were replete, there was lots of mildly disgruntled cash register tapping, just enough to let me know it was an inconvenience! Nothing was said and smiles alround, but believe me I knew!"

"Visited the restaurant with my family and were seated in the lovely upstairs dining area. Unfortunately, the service & the food were very disappointing - over priced too in comparison with other restaurants in the area! I had the beef tartin which seriously could have been half a kilo of hamburger mince from the supermarket - not good at all!"

"Cuisine maison où la qualité des produits est à signaler. Pas de souci de cuisson ni d'assaisonement. En revanche, les prix à la carte sont trop élevés. 9€ pour une brioche façon pain perdu et 5.5€ pour un verre de coteau bourguignon sans grand intérêt c'est dommage. De même le service est assez long et perfectible. De passage à Cognac, nous ne recommandons pas."
