"Didn’t receive any menus for half an hour, being told they had run out. I should just point out the restaurant was not full, 5 tables including ours. When we did finally order it took another hour to get our food. We did not get everything we ordered being told they had run out of that option but we were not given the opportunity to change our order prior to service. We tried to complain that one meal wasn’t cooked but just got told sorry about that and walked away. They good and the service for our experience of this restaurant was absolutely appalling and so will not be returning or recommending"

"They have a marked vegan menu. the personal is helpful and knowledgeable. the place is sweet and observed on the high road with many good people. the prices are appropriate for good portions. we always had some rest to go home. suppe is delicious. pasta is delicious. I want you to die! have I mentioned that they have a new vegan burger?! my daughter loved it!"

"I, and a group of friends, have eaten lunch here on several occasions since lockdown was lifted. We have eaten from the Pensioners Lunch menu and the A La Carte, and have been delighted with every meal. The fact that we have returned so often...is testament to the quality of the food and the staff. On Monday, I tried out the afternoon tea. I have enjoyed afternoon tea in some of the best locations in Suffolk, and even in London hotels, but this was equal to some and better than most! Everything was freshly prepared, the warm sausage rolls were unexpected and delicious and Cornish cream is always a delight. I can highly recommend both lunch and afternoon tea....but definitely not on the same day!!"

"Went here today for lunch. We sat on the top deck and it was beautiful overlooking the water. We both ordered the lamb rump from the set menu which was nice. My friend ordered a side of beans and these took a little time to come. For dessert, I then had the strawberry cheesecake which wasn’t too enjoyable, the cheese part was really stiff. My friend had the cheese board which she enjoyed. Waiting staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. In all a nice lunchtime meal."
