"Four of us eat here on our last day in Portugal...We had managed to secure a space to park in a nearby street within easy walking of this restaurant which looks good from the outside and had a few folks already eating or sitting with a drink.We were offered an outside table, though we did consider inside as the weather was quite changeable. We ordered a couple of beers and a couple of wines for the ladies (Wines by the glass were all €3.00 and the bar was €1.50 for something between half and a pint) we only wanted a main and the two ladies each chose to have an Omelette and my friend had a Veal dish which was quite pricey at €15.00, On the waiters recommendation I chose the 'dish of the day' which was 'Cozidos a Portuguesa' or Traditional Stew with different meats and potatoes... and it ws half the price at €7.50 sounded delicious and good value. The Omelettes arrived with chips ec and looked delightful and the Veal dish arrived and looked and apparently tasted glorious... my plate arrived and looked a little unappetising... but alway up for a challenge I tucked in... unfortunately most of the meat asked like Pork but not good pork and much of it was very fatty and contained lots of gristle. So the value option was not the best option, but we live and learn Total Bill was €50.50 and we all thought it a little pricey for what was basic fayre but a nice place to sit and watch the world go by.."

"If they chineese so to this restaurant and order from the buffet menu, although it is not buffet food. choose what they want, as much as they want and it is all freshly cooked. menu is 14.95 . prawns fab duck fab chow my fab. I have a harbour in the house. nice eating and cheapest meal in 7 nights."

"My wife and I have just returned from a stay at HPB, Rocha Brava for a fortnight. We ate at Rustic on our second night and enjoyed it so much that we returned for a further 3 visits during our stay. I can only describe the food, particularly the main courses, as absolutely superb. The Pork in pepper sauce and Duck breast in red berry sauce were the highlights but everything we ate was extremely good. Plus excellent house wine, friendly and efficient service and weather so good that we able to eat outside on the terrace on every occasion. We will return to Rocha Brava in 2018 and we hope that Rustic is still as good then as it is now. Far, far better than other restaurants nearby such as Julio's, Rocha Mar and Jardim O Farol that have all been reviewed favourably byTrip Advisor"

"The entrance is really not appealing but the other courtyard is nice and the food very good. We were both amazed by the quality of it. In addition to this you can see the owners are people that really enjoin what they are doing and are super kind. If you are in Lagoa this is probably the best place to go."
