"Food was plentiful and good. Ribs were good if just a bit dry, but seasoned well. Good selection of sides to go along with the entrees. Others said the salmon was very good too. Full bar service and good selection of beers. They actually have more than one single malt Scotch which was nice. Service was quick and very pleasant."

"Have not been there for a long time. I must say, by far this is the best restaurant in Mattoon and Charleston. We had the most charming waiter Jordan, a young man of 18 who knew how to wait on the table. A smile, and acknowledge of how to address customers. The food was exquisite. We started out with appetizers, mushrooms. They were wonderful. I had pork chops tender and moist and very good. My husband had a steak cooked to perfection. The roads were warm and fresh. The salad was fresh. According to the dining room one could see very quickly why this restaurant is number one. Lots of customers. I spoke to the Alex the manager afterwards. I congratulate him on a great crew. I told him about the food and how I value this restaurant as number one."
