"Unfortunately Jacob's Post is looking a bit tired and in need of a bit of a refurb. Food and beer are cheap (apart from Fri and Sat nights). Been in lots of times. Service usually quite quick and there is a good selection of cheap...pub meals on offer."

"What a shame such a lovely venue and the food did look good. We arrived without a booking on a Saturday and understand its a busy venue but all the staff were rude when we asked if we could just sit down for a quick drink. You can 't sit outside, defiantly not if you 're just having a drink. There were free tables the whole time we were there but got sat inside reluctantly. We ordered a snack bowl of deep fried jalapenos which were nice and had one drink. We then left and the bill came with 12.5% service charge on it. We asked if it could be taken off and were met with WHY? you had food! it got taken off in the end but it felt like becase we weren 't booked and we didn 't sit down for a full meal we weren 't worth bothering with. Such a shame customer service lets a wonderful venue down. Everyone was rude. Service: 1"

"Great warm pub near Mile End and Bow Road tube – visited the pub<br/>twice, once for food on a Saturday and once for drinks on a Sunday. Can highly recommend<br/>the fish and chips and my friend had the vegetarian burger, which she said was<br/>super. Is a gastro pub feel and is worth visiting."
