"The food is absolutely amazing. They always hit the mark when it comes to freshness and taste. However. the service is lackluster. Some, not all of the wait staff take their time to come around between refills and to ask for dessert. Their weekend special menu is wonderful. This place has become my new regular spot for food when I'm in the area, I can always count on having a delicious meal. "We stopped in after a day of sight seeing in Houston. We're out of town but were staying in the area. It was well after the lunch rush so it was quiet. Upon recommendation I got the chicken fried chicken, it was amazing! I also got their sweet potato fries. My kids got the tacos Al carbon and fried fish, both were pleased with their food. Then we got dessert to go. Red velvet cake, oreo cheesecake and the white chocolate bread pudding. Sooo good!"

"Had the special pulled chicken sandwich. was the most dry hardest 3 days old tasting huh. that he couldn't chew. was that special I am sure to get rid of it. for them how they do in the regular due diligence on their product. kartoffelsalat had half boiled potato in it. very disappointing."

"I wanted some soul food was googling restaurants. Came across this place. I'm so glad I decided to try it. I ordered the smothered pork chops with rice, okra, green beans. They were not shy with their portions like most places now. The pork chop was tender, didn't need a knife to cut it. The green beans seasoned very well. The okra chef's kiss the staff was nice. They seemed a bit overwhelmed d t the amount of people ordering fried fish chicken. As soon as they bought it out people were ordering waiting on it. I'll be back for the fish."

"My family loves this restaurant. We go whenever we can. I measure a Mexican or TexMex by the quality of their cheese enchiladas. These are some of the best!
