"A lovely visit on a beautiful summer day. The waterfront location was choice and the food was delicious, though the service was somewhat lacking. (A young, buxom blonde was very welcoming and had good banter [also was very attentive to the presents left on the chairs by our bird companions and made sure to tidy up before we had a chance to sit; very professional demeanor], while another lithe blonde with a ponytail was inattentive and seemed uninterested. Ordered a bottle of sav from a friendly brunette- ordering was great as the server was bubbly and helpful, but no bottle service or top ups. Toss up, really. We ordered the seafood chowder,a Caesar salad, and a garlic and herb pizza. Everything exceeded our expectations for a very touristy part of Picton (the chowder was top notch and the garlic bread that came with it was SUPERB , and the prices were reasonable for such a prime location in a small port town, despite being one of the more expensive restaurants in the area. We enjoyed a lovely Valentine's Day lunch on the patio and wouldn't hesitate to return (if only to get more of that chowder and garlic bread! Thanks again!"

"Stopped in for lunch. I was plesantly surprised. Inside was very nicely decorated. I had the chicken curry roti and it was huge and delicious. It was to much to eat but I managed to get it all eaten. Would definitely go back. Maybe in the summer when you can also sit on the patio...."

"We were walking by on sat heading to another place to eat. We looked in. It reminded us of an old diner from the late 1960s. We went in as we had never been there before. I am very happy to say it was delicious the prices were very good your portions are great. Over all the place is a gem. It’s not high end. But it is better then high end. It’s good old fashion comfort food. And as for our server. I didn’t get her name. But she was very nice. Also the food came out fast hot and delicious. Do yourself a favour. Eat at Gus,s Family Restaurant. You should not be disappointed"

"This place was fantastic! We stayed 2 nights and did a fishing charter. The accommodations were cozy, clean and pet friendly . We went on a charter with Scott and he was incredible. He didn’t stop trying until we got on some walleye! I have to give it to him, he was persistent! . My dog was allowed to come fishing with us and he also had a great time. Scott’s boat was incredibly comfortable and he had hot coffee and cold beverages all day for us. He prepared a nice BBQ lunch and even cooked some for my dog! Scott was a great host, very knowledgeable and fun. Thank you for giving us a memorable experience!"

"My other half waited 1 hour 10 mins for the take out we ordered at 1:00pm for pick up at 6:30 pm ordered early as it is New Years Eve he said some people have been waiting 1 1/2 hours totally outrageous. so badly managed, when you call to find out how long they still say 10 mins what a way to spoil everyone's evening. If you can wait order from Golden Inn at least they are being honest and telling you they are backed up the food is probably better there anyway. Really screwed the evening just the perfect ending to to a perfect year NOT. will never give these guys another chance."

"We had an absolutely fantastic meal at the Gazebo Restaurant. Chef Alex, who has been at the restaurant for a month and as we discovered is a former Chopped Canada winner, made a vegan fennel soup that was just superb. He followed it with stuffed squash done two ways - one for me and one for my husband - that featured smoked vegetables. The flavours were interesting and rich and absolutely delicious. If we'd had room for dessert he had a vegan option for us there, too. Service was excellent - attentive and friendly - and the vineyard and lake make for a beautiful backdrop. We were able to finish our wine and beer as we strolled down to the lake. If you are looking for a truly great vegan meal in the County (or from what we could tell from other diners, an excellent place for omnivores) we can't recommend the Gazebo Restaurant in Waupoos highly enough. We will absolutely be back with friends and family. It's great to have a place that so easily and beautifully accommodates vegan meals on top of a great omnivore menu."

"Was there on August 2, 2022. Easy to find and with great views of the Lake. Other side of the street you can see Lake-on-the Mountain which has a small walking area, but not nearly long enough for you to get your 10K steps in! Beer was very good and the charcuterie boards were very generous, flavorful and reasonably priced. Its about $35/person beverages included which is pretty fair. Staff are nice too!"
