"A Restaurant that serves spicy food with great selection and size of portion. This is the first what we used to refer to as Chinese Restaurants in Rudesheim and it is a great addition. It has both inside and outside seating and the service is...excellent. It is almost next door to the Tourist imformation centre and WELL WORTH A VISIT. Highly recommended. We went there once for tea and had 2 portions of Banana in Honey with two glasses of wine and it cost less than 10 Euros. Great Value"

"This is a restaurant where it is not possible to make a right booking. We tried to make several times a booking but the first time one the crew members did not file it in their agenda. The second time we verified the appointment onsite and even showed the phone and time we called. they denied in front of us that we made a reservation but solution offered and Sunday was possible. We said 19:00 hour. Today they called and ask why we where not in at 17:00. When we tried to talk to the lady who called so was very but than very rude. Not letting the customer tell the story and total no solution offered. Very unfriendly staff and sadly not possible to try their food cause they won’t let us. If you try to make a booking onsite the crew completely ignores you and are not asking if they can help. And if you ask one of the crew straight than they respond irritated and rude. So no referrals for this restaurant at all!!"

"We sit here and are thrilled by friendly service, delicious food and a breathtaking view. this newly renovated tourist attraction also has a brand new team. the prices are very reasonable, but remember that it is the second most visited attraction in Germany, not its ice cream in the neighbourhood."

"Het interieur is ouderwets, de kamers hebben alles dat ze nodig hebben, meer niet. Onze kamer was aan de kant waar de vuilniscontainers beneden stonden. Onze badkamer stonk elke dag. We namen halfpension. Het eten in het restaurant is niet aan te raden. Alles uit blik en uit de diepvries, en het was niet lekker klaargemaakt. De bediening in het restaurant vonden wij ook niet echt vriendelijk. Het ontbijt was oké, maar niet zo uitgebreid. De mensen aan de receptie waren daarentegen wel vriendelijk. De kamers werden goed gepoetst. De bar stelt niet veel voor en is heel klein en daardoor niet gezellig. Voor een kort verblijf is dit hotel oké, maar ik zou het je niet aanraden."

"My wife and I came to Rudesheim on a Viking cruise. We've been disappointed by the food on board so we went in search of a good meal with local ingredients. Rudesheim is full of tourist restaurants and I found it difficult to tell which reviews were trustworthy. We are SO GLAD we chose Jakobusklause! We each had a seasonal special with the famous local white asparagus in traditional German dishes. Both were excellent. Our server was very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English without condescension. We asked her to choose a wine for us and she chose a lovely riesling from Rudesheim. The only sound was town noise, quiet conversation, and birds (including cuckoos). I can recommend this place without hesitation."

"I went to this hotel on a Kirbys coach, The bedroom was comfortable and warm, it had a good powerful shower. Breakfast was buffet style with a good selection of food, some hot. Dinner was good but service was slow, not the fault on waitresses, three coach parties present at this time. Rudesheim was an excellent place to visit for the Chrismas market, but was very crowded. The coach could not get near the hotel due to narrow cobbled street, may be a problem for less mobile people, overall a good holiday, recommended."
