"An established culinary gem that promises an array of flavors and dishes that cater to various palates since 2007 in the heart of Somerville. Here are some of the dishes I partook in during my visit. Smoked Cape Cod Bluefish Cakes: I kicked off my meal with the Smoked Cape Cod Bluefish Cakes, and they were nothing short of spectacular. The combination of the red onion, corn, and cilantro garnish provided a delightful contrast to the warm, perfectly cooked, and tender fish cakes. These cakes practically melted in my mouth, creating a harmonious blend of flavors that will be hard to forget. Caesar Salad with Bouldering Croutons: The Caesar Salad was a unique experience, with a rich dressing bursting with garlic. While the garlic flavor was intense and somewhat of an acquired taste, it added a distinctive character to the dish. The bouldering croutons, although slightly inconsistent in their saltiness, offered a soft and delightful crunch. The generous portion of sturdy lettuce showcased the attention to balance and quality of a classic salad dish. Pappardelle Bolognese: One of the highlights of my meal was the Bolognese pasta. This dish was a true masterpiece, featuring a perfectly balanced and rich sauce that complemented the pork and veal impeccably. The pasta itself was wonderfully fresh and al dente. This Bolognese is a must-try for anyone seeking a familiar Italian experience in an upbeat Boston bar. The Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich (Side Note): While my dining companion ventured into the territory of the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, I couldn't help but take a cautious bite from my friends after my meal. To say it was fiery would be an understatement, with a heat level akin to Carolina Reaper peppers. This sandwich delivered an intense, almost overwhelming spiciness that overpowered the distinct flavors of found in fried chicken. While some may appreciate the fiery adventure, it's not for the faint of heart. Tread responsibly if you dare to try it, especially considering their no refunds policy on this sandwich! Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae: Very familiar desert, as it's almost a pillar of American dining. Brownie was well baked, warm, topped with standard vanilla bean ice cream and what was believed to be fresh whipped cream. For what it was described to be and what I was in the mood for, it hit the mark quite well. When we arrived it was around 7PM; peak dinnertime rush, and we were seated after a wait of only ten minutes. They move patrons steadily, but there's no rush with the meal, only with their incredible waitstaff! The servers ran dish out quickly, attentively refilled our water at a reasonable frequency, and got our orders correct to a T. I was very happy to visit Highland Kitchen and I look forward to eating there again. Kid-friendliness: Although it's a bar, I honestly felt like this would be a fine establishment to bring kids to, with proper parental supervision and maybe just before peak hours. Parking: All along Highland Avenue, parking seemed plentiful even for a Friday night."

"Celebrated Belated Mother's Day today. Had been wanting to try this place for a whole now and it did not disappoint. We had a Mexican Mojito to wet our whistle and followed it up strong with a Short Rib Grilled Cheese (accompanied by Creamy tomatoe soup and fries) and the Signature Tres Leches French Toast accompanied by homemade honey whipped cream, sweet maple drizzle, and vanilla bean ice cream. Everything was delicious, fresh, and hit all the right notes. We will definitely be coming back for more"

"LOVED field and vine!!! The vibe was so cute with beautiful decor and a plant wall, it wasn't too loud, and the wait staff was very kind. Our server had great recommendations and we loved everything we had!The menu is super seasonal so everything you get is super fresh they even had ramps!!! My favorites were the scallop tostada and the spring green cavatelli. Definitely will be coming back when the seasons change to try a new menu!"

"Spicy Tuna PokeOka poke (traditional, Samoan style)Unlike those who say that you really don't get much for what you pay, we actually thought that the Hawaiian bowls were pretty fairly priced for the amount of fish we received... In fact, we honestly felt that there was way too much fish for our liking, and prefer more rice and mix-ins than all that Spicy Tuna and Oka. Also, the Macaroni Salad was overrated and just plain bland. I think we paid about $40 total, and moving forward, would rather get our poke bowls from Love Art Sushi in Boston. 3.5 rating"

"By far my favorite vegan takeout experience ever. Ample vegan options to be had. I've been here twice and both times were exceptional; one of them was during the lunch rush and I still had my food within fifteen minutes. Good balance in the portions between greens protein other. The blackened tofu is a highlight, as well as the mushrooms. Would drive the hour up to go again in the future."

"We made a family trip. I ordered the chicken parm and my friend ordered the Ravioli Aragosta. The service was minus, as we waited for more than 50 minutes between salads and ducks and the food was mixed. My chicken parm was very salty and I couldn't finish it alone, even half of it eating. I think it could be due to this one night that they simply made it too salty because other times my family visit them love the chicken parm and it is not too salty. The Ravioli Aragosta was delicious and if I ever come back, I will have this dish instead as I enjoyed the sauce. The coffees are big and worth the Buck and the cheesecakes are not too bad. I would probably not get the chocolate cheese cake next time, as the size was great and the taste was good. Instead, I can try the Cannoli with a cappuccino. My girlfriend got the oreo cheesecake and it was decent, but wished there were more ores mixed in the cheesecake. I would recommend tasting another dessert than the cheese cake and combining it with a dripping coffee or espresso that they offer."

"Incredible food. Wow. I can't believe I had never been here before but our first visit last night was the first of many many more. This gem of a restaurant is a homage to good classic Italian and American dishes. Everything we ordered you could see and taste was made with pride and care and delightfully tasty! We had the stuffed portobello, onion soup, fried shrimp, filet mignon, shrimp and scallop scampi and delicious mousse cake. Prices are incredibly reasonable. We will be back and soon. Thanks for the memorable dinner and service!"
