"Not a whole lot of selection in Chinese fare out here but we've always been happy with East Garden. Very friendly, family owned, great prices. The lunch specials are the best bargain around. You can eat hot lunch with fried rice for less than the cost of a dozen eggs. My only negative is that they seem to have changed their egg roll recipe. Smaller, mushy inside, less flavor, and not as crunchy as the bigger ones. We'll be skipping them from now on but recommend everything else, especially chicken with garlic sauce and fried dumplings."

"Actually would rate this establishment with a zero. Had ordered 6 foot hero from them last year and was satisfied at the time, however, did not personally have contact with anyone as it was a phone order and had a neighbor pick up hero for us. NOT THIS TIME. I stopped in to order a 4 foot hero, the young lady Isabella who helped me was fine, although she appeared overwhelmed. She took my order, asked me if I wanted pesto on the side with the hero, I said sure, you can put it on the side . I did not get a receipt stating the total of the order so I went in days later for a copy but was told you get that after you pick up your order. Hmmmmm, should have known then. So I figured out myself what the order would roughly total. The morning before pick up, I received a notice from my credit card of the charge which was higher than what I figured out. So I called Wayside and spoke to Isabella asking if I could have a breakdown of the charges. As it turned out I was charged $5 for the extra pesto and the chicken cutlet hero increased in price from the price on the menu I had from a few days ago. It wasn 't the extra money that concerned me but the fact I was not told the pesto was $5 extra and the hero went up in price all of a sudden. When she asked if I wanted to speak to the owner (which is actually her father, Pasquale), I said yes . Well, I can 't believe this man is still in business with such an attitude problem, he needs mental help. When I was explaining myself, he kept cutting me off, trying to give me his reasoning and was very rude and when I asked him to please let me speak, he stated to me I spoke enough . I couldn 't believe it! All I wanted to say was that I should have been told the pesto was extra and I should have been supplied with a receipt. I was not nasty at all, but was stunned that someone who operates a business would talk to a customer in this manner. Pasquale then told me to see him when I came in to pick up the hero. I told him my husband would be coming in, not me. After hearing how I was treated and spoken to, my husband couldn 't wait to confront Pasquale to see what his problem was. Upon arrival, my husband asked him to step outside so as not to speak in front of other customers. He made it clear to Pasquale that nobody speaks to my wife that way and she speaks when she wants, how long she wants and to whom she wants. This had nothing to do with the extra money charged. After more of an exchange back and forth, Pasquale stated he goes through this all the time and wanted to know what he could do now to make it up. Imagine, he actually said he goes through this all the time. You know that 's true if you read the bad reviews. He should go through training on how to treat your customers . People should go to other establishments and stay away from here. Nobody deserves to be treated in this manner."
