"Nice outdoor ambiance, but no special view. Attentive service. Food was good to very good. Two of us had the special which was halibut and it was very good. One had a salad which was âhealthyâ but not the best. We all thought it was a bit overpriced but still somewhere weâd go occasionally. We did enjoy it!"

"My family loves Chinese food- our go to restaurant in Camarillo (Chester’s Asia) seems to have suffered like many other restaurants during the pandemic. The last time we ate there the food was bland and lifeless apparently a different chef than Pre-Covid. Peking Chinese in Ventura had several positive reviews so we decided to give it a try. Overall it was a positive experience, aided by a pleasant atmosphere and extremely cordial and efficient waitress. Chicken and pine nuts in lettuce- was tasty but just OK. Chester’s gives you a larger portion, is more flavorful and they prepare it at your table with a nice plum sauce. Kung Pao Shrimp- was OK too. The portion was small although for the size there were a good number of shrimp. The flavor was good but we asked for it spicy and it was not. Schezuan Eggplant- excellent flavor and good-size portion- a keeper. Crispy Duck was tasty, good portion but difficult to remove the meat from the bones. We don’t get to eat duck hardly ever so it was enjoyable with a nice sauce. Pork Lo Mein (soft noodle) we’ve had better lo mein this was nothing special at all. Seafood Chow Fun- was the best dish of all. Generous portion, excellent flavor, was thoroughly delicious. As with any new restaurant it takes a few trips to find out what they do well and what not so well. Price wise some of the dishes were a good value, others not so much. Next time the Chinese food craving arises we’ll definitely give the Peking Restaurant another go. We visited at lunchtime and ran into a large contingent of Buena High School students. While putting on my mask outside the restaurant, the wind blew it away and one of the students bent down to grab it for me before it disappeared. While inside the restaurant a group of 5 students sat near us and they were all polite, quiet and respectful. Kudos to Buena High School!"

"Superb fresh amazing food good spices and thoroughly tasting had the basil fried rice with chicken and brown rice. My gf had the cashew chicken and as well was delighted with the full flavor and spice in it. Will definitely return for dinner again."

"We passed a little later on a Friday night, either directly before or after 1 347 of 20.12.2013, p. 1.) the restaurant closes by 8, but we were served with enthusiasm. they have different mol dishes and other Oaxacan dishes. Eating was really good, we enjoyed it pretty well."

"Came for lunch and we had the lunch special which features a large selection of amazing dishes. Parking is easy as it's in a large shopping center. The dishes were tasty and well prepared. The server was excellent as she had solid opinions when we asked about dishes. This is always appreciated, a server that knows and enjoys the menu. The ambiance is wonderful. You will find a dimly lit dining room with beautiful wood and Chinese decor. They offer a full bar and generous lunch special. If you love Chinese food you will love this place. Definitely will be back again soon."
