"There is no menu as such, just a choice of ingredients for each course. For example, Starters were a choice of Salmon, Oysters, Vegetables, Beef, Tomatoes, Duck. Pick two from the list and the chef will rustle you up a plate according to his whim. OR you can just take pot luck and eat whatever is put in front of you. Main courses were offered in Duck, Pork and Perch and again you pick two. A novel idea but not sure if it worked. The amuses bouches were tasty and my starter (beef and tomato translating into carpaccio and tomato salad with rocket) was good but the main courses were disappointing. Lukewarm and overcooked. Having read a previous reviewer's comments after our visit, I suspect he has hit the nail on the head regarding the dreaded heat lamp. On the upside, the terrace beside the river was lovely, the staff were extremely pleasant and efficient and the prices (17€ a head for two courses) were pretty standard. Apart from one white coffee at 4.50€ that is!"

"We stopped on Friday mid-December in a blister shop and ordered the menu du jour 13€50. to go through the unforeseen bar into the bright and airy dining room with many tables on two levels. we were lucky to get a window. table at 1 o'clock. as it is winter, add a light suppe to the normal 3 curs menu du jour. on this day was a beautiful bright sweet soup in a delicious broth, served with a basket of rusty brot and a dish of oliven. the entrance was an salate, a piece of quiche and a croquette. all tastefully and beautifully presented. we had two of the three options of the day for plate / pornstar: you had the spit of grilled pork with frit and served some more of the beautiful salat. the other had served the grilled fish with potatoes and salad. the fish had a beautiful Mediterranean sauce of tomato and swirling. pork skewer a touch on the dry side, but also tasteful. there were four options for dessert: we had the tiramisu and the gateau karamell: both absolutely delicious, served with an espresso. excellent value, pleasant environment, friendly staff. only a block of the cathedrale, in a great opposite."
