"Good food. Nice atmosphere. We went on Saturday evening, they were busy but food was reasonable wait. (Everywhere short staffed) had group of 8 and all enjoyed our food. Margarita was sent back for lack of taste. Otherwise 5 stars."

"Wooster has always suffered under a lack of fine eating, no more grateful. the south market bistro is a culinary oasis in the (mostly chain-located restaurant of the hell of wayne county. we have dined here at numerous places and always leave us amazed at our happiness. progressive chefs who want to use local breeders and products do not always translate this aim into excellent foods. chef mike mariola manages to achieve both the philosophy and the outstanding end result. the menu is not huge, but the choice is difficult, maybe because everything sounds (and is so delicious). starting with excellent artisan broth and a thick butter plate, which is on an exquisite salat of the freshest, perfect field green and an excellent house zitrus dressing. at our last visit, the saw the soup would make the best Michelin chef fall. smooth as velvet and dipped with the perfect amount of white truffle oil. our entrees included leek, asparagus and mushroom crepes (divine and grilled pork tenderloin with a port and cherry sauce. for dessert were the Bavarian cream and rhubarb custard sheer joy. add them in an unusual and extensive wine list (excellent white barolo! and you have the idea. the location is in a restored 100 yr. old filiale right south of the square in wooster. (if we had any complaints, it would be the explosion of cold air in winter every time when the door opens, but hey, we will act. chef mikes as talented woman emily owns the potter's studio next door, where her beautiful wars and others are on the display. due to the limited space am bistro, a busy ohio light opera schedule in summer, and numerous college of wooster weeks, reservations are strongly recommended."

"I was thrilled by the separate vegan menu the food descriptions sounded good. unfortunately the execution of the dips left a lot to wish. my partner and I shared an Entree salad for our appetizers. the salat was good so we hoped that the rest would follow the suit. he has the squash and I have the Thai aubergine. both dishes were boiled inappropriately, half the oak was raw and crispy and my baked aubergine was a pale frozen underboiled wut. neither the court had much taste/season, lack of deep and interest. the sweet in the filled squash was exactly the same as in the salat we already had, and my auberginal dish was pathetic small (1 paper thin disc baked aubergines) with some green beans and a tiny piece of squeezed sauce above. we went with carnivores, whose food still scary looking raw grease and combed mac and cheese! Even these indescribable grimes were not satisfied with the quality of their foods, which I really think is saying something. I hate to bash restaurants that try to provide vegans, but if it is not good, it is not good. what can you say? eating was also very expensive, taking into account the proportion and quality. I would never return to tjs. at least if they hang with animal eaters, they have at least one place to go."

"Ate lunch here it was very good. What you get for the price was great. I had honey buttered chicken with roasted sweet potatoes, and a salad. Everything was perfect. Our server was very friendly, efficient, and polite. The restroom was clean. Plenty of parking. Convent to the fairgrounds."
