"About 9 months ago, when we last went here we were met by a bossy waitress who told us that were too early so we had to walk around Freo in freezing winds until they opened at 9. We were then directed where to go and the service was terrible. The only saving grace was the food was excellent.Having found our intended Sunday Breakfast café was closed we decided to give Bread in Common another go. What a change!. The lady who attended out table was pleasant and efficient and the Café was open at 8.30. We were dealt with pleasantly and the coffee was good.I am not sure what has happened but we were blown away with the service and the food was also up to the usual standard. We will be back again."

"I grew up with Gino's so I am biased.<br/ <br/ The coffee has always been good, sometimes exceptional and the essence of the old Fremantle style.<br/ <br/ The omelette was ok but a bit dry. The prosciutto and sundried tomatoes were full of flavour. The side of sausages were good.<br/ <br/ A pleasant breakfast but loaded with a bunch of old memories so take this as you will."

"I'm not one for chains and franchises however whilst on the lookout for Christmas croissants I couldn't walk past the sign outside that seemed written for me - 6 mini croissants reduced to $8. I will update the review once I've actually eaten one however based on the freo decor (although I think the light shades might actually be unique even to freo...) and the friendly service, cleanliness and food offerings, I can see no reason for anything less than a 4. Large inside seating area and outdoor seating available too, I'm not convinced I'd ever try the indoor menu bit based on the impending croissant tasting, I may return for more takeaways."

"Seemed a bit unclean. I was given a dirty water glass with bits floating about. Coffe mug felt dirty too. The guy serving looked disheveled. Then what? Do I feel like eating? Not really. Who cares, I had the eggs with corn and salsa. The bacon was burnt, the corn tasted like it was from a can. The whole dish had a bitterness that was just yuk. Again, no table service. This bloody state is so far off the pace with customer service its embarrassing for them. Gourmet can't recommed Lenny The Ox. Lenny is a fine name for an Ox, but does Lenny The Ox work for a café? No. It does not."
