"The location is perfect on the river front, and the food is quite simply out of this world. The waitress was on her own tonight but handled things well despite this. Our aubergine starter was superb: balsamic, sun dried tomatoes, aubergine rolls and cheese- to die for! The duck main was delicious to begin with but became stodgy and repetitive unfortunately, a carb overload. But for this, la robe would most certainly have a five."

"Next to one of the most beautiful doors of burdeos, and French cuisine in this rustic restaurant, dedicated to the products of the sea, of the most recommended. their specialty are some trays full of mercanized and appetizing fruits, I ordered a delicious and fresh oysters, and a name fish impossible to remember very rich too, the apple pie put the perfect match for a magnificent dinner. He only lost smiling at the lady who served us, so the dinner would have been perfect (something not usual in the strip, where the service in the restaurants is always exquisite.)"

"A day before going to San Sebastian, I went with my two friends to Le Bistrot Gabriel, perfectly placed at Place de Bourse. We were seated at the table close to speakers which loudly played some awful disco music. No rock/blues to be played anymore at restaurants. After continuous complaints about the noise, the waiter thankfully moved us to another table where the noise was not detectable. Stephanie de Bouard Rivoal from Ch. Angelus owns this restaurant, and the cooking style is the same as at Logis de la Cadene in Saint Emilion, where Alexandre Baumard is the chef. No complaints about the meal delicate, subtle, full of flavours and very tasty. And worth all the money! After dinner, I stopped by the bar in the basement to sweeten my life with some cocktails. I noticed that almost none of the guests leaving the restaurant stopped there, probably because they all were driving home by car. I ordered a Calliope cocktail, and it was nice to enjoy it before I took tramway C back to my hotel close to Gare St.Jean."
