"Das Gallo Nero gibt es seit Ewigkeiten. Immer preislich im oberen Segment aber qualitativ gut.In der letzten Zeit hat man das Gefühl, es wird sich ausgeruht auf alten Erfolgen und die Gäste, ob von Messe oder Touris kommen sowieso.Also kann man nochmal die Preise erhöhen und auch arrogant bedienen.Die Speisen und Getränke sind im Verhältnis zu teuer. Der Service hat nachgelassen.Bei weitem nicht mehr das was es mal war."

"Curious evening. I was on my own on a business trip. Lovely décor, looked very nice. But.... The owner or maitre'd was a bit offish when I arrived, even though I had a booking and the place had only four or five other tables occupied....It was also unusual that for a Mediterranean restaurant, all of the waiters seemed to be young Japanese men. Whatever, on I go. OK the food. As a starter I had Steinpilz ravioli. The filling was very good, but the sauce was spectacular. Worth visiting for. Sadly the ravioli has really stodgy curled edges, most of which I cut off and left on the plate. It didn't spoil the enjoyment though. The main course was a major disappointment. Kalbs filet mignon. Lo and behold, it seemed to be the same or very similar sauce to the starter. Fine. But the meat was spongy. It was a really unpleasant consistency. I've never actually has meat that tasted and looked like that before. I left most of it and the waiter didn't even enquire if there had been a problem. Really expensive as well. Never again."

"Ambiente ist besonders, ein echtter Hingucker. Allerdings klappt der Service nicht reibungslos und zwischen den Gängen verging viel zu viel Zeit. Das Essen selbst ist wenn dann nur Durchschnittlich. Interessante Gerichte, die aber nur mässig gewürzt sind. Das Fleisch und der Fisch waren übergart."

"Interessantes Ambiente, die Augen können spazierengehen, während man auf das Essen wartet, was nicht lange gedauert hat. Leckerer Weisswein, leckerer Rosé. Hausgemachte feige Nudelhandtaschen auf Zitronensauce schwebend, kostenmäßig etwas gehoben aber im sehr guten Rahmen. Köstlich. Da winkt der Küchen-Orient.Sympathischer professioneller Service. Wenns mal nicht der an der Ecke sein soll - hierher."

"After we had several excellent diners during the last year at the olive, we decided to spend the last day of 2014 for an Sylvester Dinner at Olive in Frankfurt. This was the right decision. Mr. Charrad and his Team offered a very good Service, an excellent menu and a good selection of wine. Special thanks to Mr. Charrad and his Team for this wonderful evening."
