"I ordered the fish of the day which was a whole sea bass! This was filleted at the table which in itself was interesting to watch as the waiter had great skills. But I hadn't expected it to be so HUGE! It really was enough for two of us to share and so sadly a lot of fish went back as I simple couldn't eat it all. But it was absolutely delicious. We didn't have dessert as simply no room for it after that whopper of a fish. It is a nice restaurant and very friendly. Definitely worth a go."

"My wife and I sung in this restaurant some nights ago. as frequent visitors of the playa del carmen we have tried most restaurants on the pre- and bypass. after visiting longosteria I can say that this restaurant is the same or probably better...value than most on the only regret that it is no longer visitor to add the beautiful atmosphere. only half of the tables were occupied under the dach of palapa."

"The atmosphere here was truly incredible, open air restaurant with a beautiful breeze and a full moon when we ate there on our last night. We spent 7 days at La Perla and ate at The Grill three times for dinner. All the meats were...truly exceptional, best we’ve ever had. Our waiter was Hector on two occasions, he was amazing, friendly, helpful and very interested in our enjoyment of the meal."

"My husband and I are sushi lovers and have found that Bana is THE BEST we've ever had! The sashimi was super fresh with perfect portions. If you like unagi, its a must! They offered a lobster roll on special that we would highly recommend. Best lobster in Mexico. See photos! Most importantly, the service was second to none. Our waiter Juan Laiseca went above and beyond in customer service. If you have a chance, be sure to request this amazing man! Thank you Juan and Bana for a perfect dinner!"

"Absolutely not one criticism nor complaint about this restaurant from the service given by the wait staff to the delivery and standard of the food and all the little good bits in between.My wife and myself visited in July and it was a really lovely treat, I have read reports saying it is expensive, not so in my opinion as the quality far outweighs the prices paid. Do yourself a favour if you are in Playa and visit this superb eatery."
