"After we lived in Tokyo many years ago, we fell in love with the city, the people and the country. It was wonderful. We learned to do everything in Japanese. Including the way we learned to eat. And that was whether we ate in our house or went to eat on weekends. So finding a place here in St. Petersburg was not easy. Especially if you want to find something close to what you have in Tokyo. Welcome to RAIN Japanese Sushi Bar Thai. It's unexpected. You could go in the spot and don't think twice. It's small and in a stripe mall. But stop and park. Open the door and you enter a place that is not fantastic, but rather Japanese in concept. There's a sushi bar where you can sit. There are tables and a team that can help you. It's all there as they give you two different menus. You're pure Japanese. The other is Thai. It is your choice here that is ideal for people who visit and do not know what they want. But it's here. As you look through the menus, you can always start a drink. There are Japanese beers, wines, soft drinks and even tea. It's up to you. We placed our starter elements while we looked at the next course. We received our typical Edamame and Fried Tofu. They were both warm and fresh. The edamame came in a good size bowl. It was warm and covered with salt. Like Tokyo. The tofu was cut into slices that were in a bath soy sauce and onions. It was crisp and damp. Had the right taste. It was as you would expect. Next we enjoyed our order as we enjoyed the appetizers selected. We also asked about our chopsticks because we use them in these factories. It's a habit. When we enjoyed this course, the crowd came in. What was empty when we arrived, within 30 minutes all tables were taken. In the bar, people who cut the chefs were eating the fish and making the ducks for the guests. Whether sushi, sashimi or rolls, the chefs were busy creating something good. The next course up was the salad and the mix soup, very typical here. The salad was covered with ginger sauce. That was very fresh and had texture. With some small onions it added to taste and freshness before you had the main course. As for the Miso soup, she had something tofu inside. There was a piece of Nori and a few snipers. The soup was warm and fresh. Only the right taste awaits. Again I lived in Japan and enjoy it as you would in Japan. I drink it. No spoon. You're touching your bum and drinking. That's all. Like having a warm tea before you prepare the meal. Then the ducks arrived. We had a chief specialist. This is actually where you do not know what you get. You know, it's sushi. And there are several parts of it. You also have several pieces of sashimi. Then a tuna roll follows and then a reversed shrimp roll. A good combination for each other that is complicated by each other. For sushi you have tuna, salmon, mackerel, cod and sea bass. There is even a golden eye-catcher. It's all fresh and thin. It should be. There is no other taste. You can immerse yourself in the soy sauce, maybe add some washabi and take a bite. That's all. It tasted ideal. The one bite that is all you need was perfect for the taste. As for the Sashimi it followed the same course, but without the ascent the sushi is placed. The fish slices were a little bigger. The fish was fresh and at room temperature. Not cold. The reels were ideal. Everyone likes tuna rolls and that was perfect. All wrapped in the Nori leaf, which is fresh and has a taste that complements the tuna and rice inside. It is very typical of many Japanese restaurants, but here it is authentic again. Also here no additional additives. The shrimp roll had a little extra taste of ginger and was heated somewhat. There were fried shrimps in each piece. A meal for itself. For the other duck it was similar in style. Sushi Jo, this time it was all 10 pieces of sushi. And in true style you started with the heavier pieces and worked on the l"

"Like any other Bonefish Grill, it was nice and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had the seared tuna, which was very tasty. I just wanted something light and it scratched the itch."
