"This restaurant serves as the 'kitchen lab' for the Enderun Culinary School. Meals are prepared by students, but closely supervised by Chefs, allowing the students to get practical work experience in a controlled environment. Because most of the staff are students - including the front of the house folks - prix fixe menus are reasonably priced. We had the 'Market Menu' designed by Chef Koberl. A 3-course menu cost PHP880 (US$20). The best dish was the seared scallops with crustacean foam and green peas - perfectly done. For the price, it's worth a try."

"I had a marvellous lunchtime experience at the Rice & Dough restaurant on the „banks“ of the Venice canal at McKinley Hill, Taguig City recently. Our party of young, local colleagues descended on this fun restaurant and set about attacking the menu. Whilst I quietly sat back there was a flurry of feminine activity in listing out all the delicacies we were to try as starters before I got to chose my main course – a fantastic piece of white fish - seared Nori Chilean sea bass served with rice and absolutely delicious sauce - garlic seared butter. But the real fun part was the sampling the plethora of starters which arrived – these included two large pizzas completely overloaded with cheese and sushi with names like "World War Roll" served with the usual spicy hot wasabe and soy sauce.This is not a place for discreet business meetings. Here you almost need to shout over the voices of the other, predominantly young diners. That's when they weren't taking photos of the meal and texting friends who had the misfortune to miss out on the culinary „chaos“.For a fun, great informal lunchtime experience you certainly can't go wrong in coming here."
