"Staff lovely as always. Pizzas excellent and wine of a superior quality. Salad our only let down on this occasion..lacked imagination and ruined with salt (never had salad with salt before yet no dressing). Love this restaurant though and always go when in Glasgow"

"I don’t like to write bad reviews but this time is an exception as the stay in the hotel was so bad. I usually like hotels in old buildings but this one really needs to be renovated. Very old rooms: bed smell, weak windows, no wifi connection, old carpet floor, broken walls…. When I told the reception guy during late evening that my room had a really strange smell, his only comment was “oh really”. We had to ask 5 !! times if we could get a new key card to enter the room, as the card was never working. This can’t happen in a 4 star hotel. Really bad value for money: we spent 250£ per night!! For this price I expect a much better construction and service. The only good part was the breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel, for us it was a waste of money."

"A little cold and frightened. the food proportions were on the small side, the lasange was bland, the zuppa zucca too sweet, the ravioli very good, the lamb stew very tasty. the service excellent."
