"For those who don't want to read this essay: frozen and nasty food, atrocious service, unreasonable pricing, unsanitary and violating health codes. I'm a huge fan of diners. But this did not live up to even the most subpar I've been to. From the moment my boyfriend and I walked in, no employee including the cashier 2 feet away from us greeted us or directed us to find our own seating. After waiting 12 minutes of no service and no acknowledgement of existence, a waitress wholly preoccupied with something else, as her attitude suggested, finally asked us for our orders. We sat at the bar area, and even watched as the waitress served the woman next to us while completely ignoring us. The food didn't take too long to come out, but only because the fries were pre made (overcooked) and placed in an unsanitary plastic bin at the end of the bar. The chicken tenders clearly originated from a Tyson bag and were thrown in the oven, rather than freshly prepared. As a result, most of the fries were browned and stale and the chicken slimy and tasteless. The chicken tender plate we ordered boasted a salad with chicken tenders and fries, so I assumed, like any other restaurant, that a salad would come out on its own respective plate followed by the entrée. Incorrect. The salad, which can only be described as the lowest grade quality lettuce, was drenched in a tasteless, gooey honey mustard which was ultimately unbearable to eat. For $9.45 per plate, I expected more than just two oven baked chicken tenders, unsalted and burnt fries, and a sad attempt at a salad. What could be considered worst is that the workers placed their drinks directly next to the salad bin (pictured below). If you're a health nut, you know this is against health code violations. Even worse, there was no worker using gloves of any kind when handling the food. That's right, we saw sandwiches being shoved on plates, salad being handled with dirty hands, and burgers being placed on buns with no sanitary gloves. We ate quickly because the mood was just off. The waitress never checked on us, never asked us how our food was, never refilled our drinks, and left us sitting without silverware so we couldn't even eat our salad (eventually, I did manage to call her over and ask for silverware). This restaurant boasts its connections to the local Chattanooga community. I care too much about what I eat, my own health, and personal standards to grace Nikki's Drive Inn ever again. Too long, didn't read? Health code violations, terrible pricing, low quality service, and an even grosser compilation of food menu items."

"I gave this restaurant 2 stars because our waitress was awesome!! Everything else was not great. I believe they opened the restaurant not too long ago and from the looks of it the building used to be a run down strip club. It doesn't appear that they've done much to upgrade the building. The food was below average bar food and my party of 8 had a wide selection of things from across the menu...the worst being the Cheese steak which was chunks of mystery meat drown in melted Velveeta type cheese ?...I give them tons of credit for hustling and grinding and trying to make it happen but they need to elevate the food and atmosphere to match the waitresses personality and they'll have a place worthy of 5 stars!"
