"Food was decent. Very very buttery pasta, it was sitting in a pool of oil at the end. Oysters were excellent. Creme brûlée was fine, I’ve had better elsewhere for cheaper. Overall, the pasta was decent, seafood great."

"This is everything I look for in a French restaurant. Eating out in France has become more expensive in recent years (the declining pound hasn't helped), but this one, which I would describe as mid price, is worth every penny. We went for the 25 euro three course menu, which offers several choices for each course. Servings are generous. Starters: soup de poissons with all the trimmings (rouille, grated gruyere, enough croutons to last a week), and moules with chips. Perfect traditional cooking. A main course of garlic prawns with mixed vegetables and some heavenly potato stuff was amazing: the prawns were cooked with herbs in such a way that you did not have to peel them, the skins were tender and crisp. My partner had steak frites, also good. Puddings (if you can manage one) were perfect combinations of fruit, cream and ice cream (ask for the vanilla ice cream it is greenish, like pistachio, with a delicate, distinctive taste. Never had anything like it, nothing like standard vanilla. Lovely). The restaurant is circular, and you can choose to sit inside or in a glass gallery/veranda that runs all round it and watch the world go by. There's also an outdoor eating area. Service was efficient, polite and very friendly. Absolutely no problem if your French is not great, and the atmosphere generally was busy but calm. No blaring music thank God. I really only have one criticism: the wine is overpriced. The cheapest we could find was about 15 euros, and this seems strange when you can get excellent wine for a third of that in all the supermarkets. I suggest having a beer, or asking for wine by the glass. Otherwise I'd be happy to eat here every night of my life."

"Very bad restaurant. I gave it a second chance and still the same disappointing experience. Bad service and below average food. On top of that, the second time I went I found an insect in my salad, more precisely a spider. What bothers me the most is not the insect itself but the reaction the manager had when I pointed it out. Instead of apologising and dealing with it calmly, she instantly went defensive and agressive, as if it was my fault, and started putting her fingers in the dish to repeat once and again (even if I refused to argue and just asked for the bill) that it wasn't an insect (spider was all intact with its 8 legs). They were beyond rude. Lack of basic customer service skills."
