"A visit to Tatihou island is a must, you could easily spend a day there; exploring, visiting the museum, swimming etc.We arrived fairly late at the restaurant (1.30pm) and it was busy. It was a beautiful sunny day and we were able to secure a table on the outside terrace. Initially there seemed to be only one, very hot and flustered waitress and it took 15 minutes before we were handed menus and the table set. As people finished their meals their tables were not cleared away as the waitresses (the first one having been joined by a second) were very busy. Finally we placed our order and waited. We opted for a set menu (i think around 20 euros for 3 courses) Again a fairly long (15 minute) wait for our starter which was a seafood platter. We were pleasantly surprised by the quantity and freshness of the seafood. I had mackerel for my main which was small but tasty. I had desert which was ok, a pannacotta (a little too set) with strawberries in strop on top. We had carafe of white and i think our bill came to 50 euros or less.Service was slow, our meal took nearly 2 hours. This would have been fine if we had arrived on the island earlier. As it was we took the 12 o'clock amphibian transport over, rather rushed the museum and then got to the restaurant when it was very busy (1.30). We finished eating around 3.15 and then needed to catch the 5pm transport back which didn't really leave enough time to explore the rest of the island.We would eat here again but next time we visit the island we're going to take a picnic and our swimsuits which will more fun. And we will be able to relax not he picnic rug and have a siesta."
