"With a few friends we visited the black cooker (as it actually means) on a Sunday in the early evening to complete a nice day.We had reserved what would not have been absolutely necessary. there was plenty of space.The service was very friendly and very fast for the first orders, but then we "forgot" a bit.The ambiente is "sufficient - convenient", so not kitschig or especially. I like that. I had a steak nature with country potatoes, the others had different dishes.My steak was perfect. the kartoffeln plentiful and very good (the chef probably specializes in kartoffels in all variations). the soßen to steak also excellent. I might have expected a little more salate than supplement/deco, but you can't make it right for the steak eaters anyway.No one of my companions had something to put out, but those who had ordered the münzinger pfandl were especially full of the laubes. I'll try this for myself in a timely way.The price is already a bit elevated, but not unharmed.I can recommend the visit to the black cooker for groups. to date, I might rather choose the competition, but can't even justify why."

"Since there is the Portofino in Amberg, we have been eating several times a year and have always been satisfied. Last time we visited Portofino in early January 2020. This time, both the service and the pizzas read to wizard. The boss served himself, seemed totally muffy, stressed and energized. When we got the pizzas, they looked like always, but didn't really taste. In the middle, the dough was still soaky that you could hardly cut it. We were four and all had the same problem. In future we will steal another pizzeria in Amberg."

"In recent months we have fed several times in the Trattoria Rustica. The food is of value for money TOP, the pizzas are provided with a thin and crossed floor and the pasta dishes are of intense taste, far away from convenience food. The dishes are lovingly dressed, the service is beautiful and friendly. The location (former potato cellar) is bright and manageable, certainly not everyone's thing, but we feel it as pleasant. In summer you can also sit in the cattle market street in front of the restaurant, just outside Georgenstraße. No place for a candlelight dinner or business dinner, but as an alternative to cooking (also for family with children) or for a food after sports, language course etc. absolutely recommended. For us an enrichment of the already numerous Amberger Italo gastronomy."

"I was super hopeful for the gluten-free pizza and we both remained disappointed overall. Above: Service was polite and ambience was beautiful. The GF Pizza crust was nothing better than to buy prefabricated, because that is exactly what they use. I ordered the rustika and while the blows were good, the crust was just not. My husband had the seafood pasta and it was combed pasta, with some Calamari and you know this frozen baby shrimp? Not good. I ordered a water and a beer, got 2 water. Would not go back and cannot recommend."

"We had a day visit to Amberg. At time Schon-Kilian was the top choice at Tripadvisor. Contrary to the rating and compliments, our lunch quality did not impress as much as the other contributors. Besides us no one eating there. The bread, soup and risotto were fine. But the pork chop was rough. I am sorry for that. Perhaps, dinner is served at a much higher level. But ours was a day trip and lunch was the only possibility."
