"We visited Ristorante Maximum twice whilst staying in the beautiful hills above Cava De' Tirreni. Although very busy with locals the first night, we were served incredibly quickly and the staff were very friendly and polite. The views across the valleys were incredible and the food (we had three courses) was just brilliant. The local wine too was delicious. All for an incredible price. Relaxed, friendly and a great atmosphere for an incredible price, I can't rate the place any higher."

"A little big restaurant hidden in the hills just behind Salerno. A really convenient location for a spot of lunch after a visit to the lovely Arechi castle. But don't be scared by the windong road or confused by the unassuming appearance. You are in for a treat. Great starters, wonderful primi piatti and tasty seconds. All simple traditional food from the Salerno province fresh local vegetables and seafood. Try the octopus salad and the grilled fish. If you have young ones they will be delighted by a sizeable and tasty pizza! Great friendly service and good value for money!"

"A good restaurant with a very nice view of the Metelliana valley. Food is good, although there are better options in the area, especially for the pizza. Price-quality is good, for an overall really nice dinner experience."

"Uninviting, especially for non-Italian speaking tourists. We were handed a physical wine list, but the main menu was a QR code on the table numbers. Their QR code menu has multiple languages to choose from, but the descriptions translated are incorrect. I ordered the filet thinking it was a steak, confirmed by the waiter medium, but it was actually hamburger steak, that was very dry. We were also each served a tiny appetizer without asking for it and charged; when I inquired about that while paying he said it was customary that all Italian restaurants do that, and that it’s listed on the menu. However when you scan the QR code for the menu it lists categories like “earth main menu” “seafood second course”. We didn’t even look at the appetizer menu because we weren’t that hungry. Personally, I feel it’s deceptive; we thought they were just being polite. There’s plenty of other restaurants along the main drag with more reasonable prices and better tasting that are more welcoming."
