"We stumbled this little jewel by chance, but so glad we did. such a beautiful place for a nice dinner, great atmosphere and service was no longer. eating was amazing, and drinking to fit, the sangria and the hanging kebabs would be hard to beat everywhere. next visit this city will be the top of the list for a visit. many thanks for making our mini-moon dinner so beautiful"

"Ok I live in a southern city where if your restaurant isn't great you don't last a week. I have to say, in three days in this area, I never once had a really nice meal. It's like people are faking it. So I had...some sushi, horrible, overdone rice tiny bit of avocado, nori seaweed wasn't very nice at all, the whole thing had no flavour. I had sweet and sour pork balls or something, the batter was as chewy as old glue and there was very little inside them. I had some kind of beef in oyster sauce, the beef was like leather. And spring onions cut lengthways which everyone knows renders them unchewable. They managed Eton Mess ok. This is a chain, be interesting to check out other operators elsewhere in England, but whoever runs this isn't cutting it."

"I’ve just had my first kebab from here and to be fair if the boy had listened to what I said about little chilli and little garlic sauce I think it would have been the best soba kebab I’ve ever had the parts that the sauce hadn’t soaked were really nice had to throw rest away as was soaked to death in sauce sorry if you listen to your customers request you’d have stars"

"A lovely oldie worldie pub was a pleasure to stay here. In the very centre of chester and you can walk out and straight onto the old chester walls. Thought it would be noisy above a pub but there wasn’t any noise at all!! Rooms are very clean. Didn’t eat here so can’t comment but beers were good"

"Going for the lamb double whammy I had ‘Chargrilled Rump Of Lamb, Green Beans, Pearl Barley, Dressing’ for my main course. Rump of lamb is my favourite cut and this was exceptional, an extreme charring on the outside gave loads of lovely caramelised flavour while the inside remained pink and juicy. Served on pearl barley – a hugely underrated grain – with green beans and a meaty jus to bring it all together."
