"Stopped at this cafe on Sunday morning. Service was slow and some items on the menu were not available. Coffee was weak. Some items were very expensive. Men's toilet was not clean. There are many very nice cafes in Concord. I would give this one a miss."

"3 takeaway pizzas on a Monday night, vegetarian, meat lovers and capricciosa. All we can say is dismal and for over $70. Vegetarian needed vegetables and the other two were inedible. We have been here before and thought we'd give it another go. Dismal then so no change."

"We finally decided to try this place that has outweathered the changing and unattractive surroundings on Parramatta Road and seems to be hanging in there.Parking was easily found in the side street with only a short walk to the restaurant.The decor is very pleasant, old-fashioned traditional with much to cast one's eye over, including a very faded surrealist print from the 60's or 70's.that caused me a flashback.The welcome from Franco was immediate and warm. There was an extensive blackboard menu as well as a written one. The prices ranged quite a lot.My wife and I chose to share two entrees: the bruschettas and the fresh figs with prosciutto with gorgonzola sauce. Both were excellent. The gorgonzola sauce was so nice! They also do gnocchi in gorgonzola sauce. I might try that next time. The figs were not cheap at $20 but they used large fresh figs. It was very reasonable value.I chose the Franco Special which was 5 large barbecues prawns and a steak. It came with boiled knipfler potatoes, spinach, carrots and a green salad with dressing. The steak was tender and the prawns were covered in a crumb or something and were peeled. with the head and tail attached. They were delicious.My wife's veal cacciatore was OK.. The sauce was pleasant enough, but we expected some olives or anchovies to add depth to the tomato flavour.We skipped dessert and had a couple of cappuccinos. They were exceptionally good, made with Lavazza coffee.Be prepared to wait for the courses, but it is worth the wait. We enjoyed a glass of wine we brought while we waited and were nicely surprised to hear that there was no corkage. Our meal cost $92"

"My daughter booked this restaurant online for Mother's Day Dinner. We arrived to find we were seated outdoors. It was a chilly night so we asked if we could be seated indoors when a table becomes available. They offered us an outdoor heater instead which leaked gas and ended up making some family members feel unwell including my 2 year old grandson. To add to this, our meals ended up taking 2 hours plus to be served. To compensate for this, they offered us some garlic bread five minutes before our meals!! Needless to say, this ruined our appetites. When paying the bill, they informed us that the garlic bread is complimentary and offered us 10% discount off our next visit. Will definitely not be going back."

"Three of us had lunch here yesterday it is very good for every type food. It serves large portions so go hungry. My wife had the penne bolagnaise. My Son had spaggeti seafood and I had the salmon benedict all were excellent and huge. I noticed some of the food going by and I would have been happy with all that I saw go by."

"We shared the mixed tempura, small sushi and small sashimi plates between 2 and were impressed with the quality and taste of everything. Everything was freshly prepared by the chef who you watch from your table. The sashimi and sushi was probably the best we...have ever tried. The restaurant interior is relaxing and comfortable and the service is friendly and efficient. With a pot of hot green tea and complimentary bottle of water the bill was $61 which is very reasonable for the quality of the food. We will definitely be back."

"Whilst it started off good with a neighborhood vibe once the evening progressed we witnessed a staff member screaming across the restaurant to another staff member that this is the last order he is taking , then they started beating the pizza dough so hard we couldn’t hear each other talk been to lots of pizzerias and they all beat there dough too but not that loud , then they started mopping the kitchen floor with bleach and the smell went right up our noses, down our throats and watery eyes for one of us and the staff looked like they were all in a hurry to leave with their own pizza for dinner. They even switched off the lights in the kitchen that darkened our seating area . Needless to say we all left and won’t return .. Food was average too"
