"Lavana is a delightful small restaurant overlooking Walsh Bay on the wharf opposite the Roslyn Packer Theatre, and next door to Hicksons. It's one of the very few restaurants that have thrived in this spot. The tapas were various, reasonable size for under $20, and generally very well done - we had really good octopus and lamb. The beef was a little chewy and the mushrooms were good but maybe from a tin. The pasta mains were nicely al dente and seafood tasted fresh and well prepared. Service was very attentive, efficient and friendly. There was a fair range of white and red wines - $9 glass of white was good, red was basic. Overall a great pre-theatre experience."

"Enjoyed a lovely winters dinner with friends. Seafood and pasta dishes great. Staff lovely and attentive. Can't add 100 characters but if you're around Walsh Bay, it's worth having a meal here - either as a couple or with friends..."
