"We went for a drink a few weeks ago to test the pub out and decided to go for a meal. We had heard nothing but excellent reports. What an awful experience. It wasn’t busy (even though we were told to book). The food wasn’t great and in fact to eat the Lasagne you needed a hammer and chisel as it was burnt to a crisp."

"After promising reviews I was disappointed on arrival. There were several menus and it is hard to do such a broad range well. I ordered safe with fish and chips, which was ok. Others were more ambitious, only to be disappointed. Pies (too much soggy pastry), gammon (very tough). A bit disappointing really."

"To be honest I have been before and really enjoyed them but this time is a big no to going again.. We sat in and had fish chips, chips were horribly dry and fish tasted rubbery as if they had been standing for a while, peas were horrid we had bread butter which was stale bread..... left my meal and also didn't fancy eating stale bread. Almost forgot to mention that the salt and vinegar sit on top of a serviette which was filthy with all stains on it.. Won't be going there again EVER"
