"We had booked before, but left to mention that our party was vegetarian. this caused some consternation with the owner / manager and, although both were nice to have an salad or omelette, this hiccup got us on the wrong foot. when the food came, it was great: thoughtful, beautifully flowered, very full. the wine was also excellent. only a shame that a bit of acidic taste dwells during the meal."

"This is hidden in the old medaeval town below the castle. It was one of the more expensive creperies we visited in Brittany but the price was worth it. I very muched enjoyed my Onion Crepe. Local cider served in pottery cups. We ate inside but there is an outside area. One of the very few places we discovered a high chair and changing facilities during our stay. Pleasant and efficient service."

"What a very pleasant discovery. Looking for somewhere for lunch we stumbled upon Le Bistro by chance and were pleased that we did. A small but very cute restaurant with a good choice on the menu including many pizzas. I ordered from the plat de...jour, the salad with lardons to start with was excellent followed by belly pork and chips and salad. Again, a very decent meal full of flavour and beautifully cooked. My wife went for the quatre fromages pizza and it was also very pleasant. Shame we were driving as the choice of wines and draft beers was excellent and would have enhanced an already very pleasant experience. We had arrived bang on 12.00 and were the first customers but when we left the place was full and our table had new customers waiting for it as soon as we got up to leave. Always a good sign!"
