"Oh dear, I had such high hopes for this place. Sadly, it's overpriced and the meat underwhelming. I asked for sauce on the side and it came smothered with an awful Bearnaise out of a bag. The waitress was nowhere to be seen, otherwise we would have said something... Meat was obviously cooked from cold, tough and terrible as we're the sides. Only good things were the oysters natural and the wine.... Sticky plastic tablecloths and rancid lighting topped off an expensive and revolting evening."

"Quirky place with lots of taxidermy around the walls in the front bar. Quick and friendly service, really terrific parmies served with generous and very fresh salads. Also the room was very well heated, which was really welcome on a very cold New England evening. Loved it."

"We stayed in the motel for nights, and went to the adjoining restaurant on the night. LOVED it. Open log fire, excellent service, and the meals were large, filling, tasted amazing, and were great value! We stayed for another nearly after having...our promptly served meals, just talking...and not once did we feel any pressure to leave (we left when we realised we were almost the last there and had out-stayed all who had arrived after us ). Will definitely return when we visit again. P.S. Book ahead as it can be very busy."
