"In 2019, San Gabriel, perhaps the legendary hotspot for Chinese food in the larger Los Angeles area, held its annual beer and dumpling festival and the associated competition for the best Chinese dumplings. The winner was not a restaurant of San Gabriel at all, but was indeed Mukden Dumplings and let me emphasize how happy I am, competing with the judges here: Mukden Pan roast pork dumplings are the best dumplings in Southern California. Look at Mukden on a map and your immediate impression is likely how far they are from Los Angeles. It's like an hour drive from the city without traffic. The exterior is relatively insignificant, although the parking space is sufficient. The store does not even boast its decreasing performance in any way I could find. But all about this shop is more than it seems and you will not regret to board. About half of the menu is dumplings and the other half noodles. Stewed pork soup seemed a popular dish and resembles fat Japanese kakuni, although with less sweet soy flavor, so the meat a pig lover's dream (although it can be a touch-fat for most). The soup seems a simple soy base, but the taste runs deep and subtle, far more than the sum of its parts. Also the noodles appear normal, but have a good chewing texture. Everything in the menu is good. But if you want to have the best, you should make sure that the pan order fried pork dumplings. How do the best dumplings taste in SoCal? They look inconvenient, almost shameful, not different from any Korean mandu. But the devil is in the details and if you bite, you will feel a thick, warm soft skin, beautifully balanced with the light cracking of the fry, for a texture that can only be described as divine. And that's just the beginning. While this is not xlb soup dumplings, they have soup in them. And what a soup an explosion of salty taste, which, while not overwhelmingly creates, overwhelm with pure economical quality, give the feeling as if the meeting bursts inside with marinade. Soy, chili and vinegar is provided, but you do not need them to feel the effects of this dump. If that was not enough, a plate has something like 10 of them, so it has a great value compared to most xlb places. The other dumplings on the menu are good, especially if you like beef or cut liquor, but for my money, the pan roasted pig cannot be missed. Mukden was originally a capital of the Manchurians when they marched China into the Qing Dynasty. It was located on the northern edge of China and its name is apparently rising from a manchurian word 'mukdembi'. Mukden Knödel is also far from the centers of Los Angeles. Shortly after San Bernardino it can be hard to find a reason to make the pilgrimage here. But like his nameshake, Mukden holds an increasing power that too few know at the moment. So if you're in the area or have a long free afternoon, put out and try the best dumplings in the region for yourself!"

"NOT A TYPICAL ITALIAN MENU: Charming restaurant in downtown Glendora. There is seating outside as well as inside. The restaurant's floor plan is very open, so it was quite noisy. I was a little disappointed in the menu, as the options seemed quite limited. I was a little worried about the service after reading other reviews, but we didn't experience any problems at all and the restaurant was very busy . I ordered a bowl of lentil soup, and a side of bread. My husband ordered a salad and half sandwich. All of the food was very tasty. Our server was Brianna, and she provided excellent customer service. The only reason I'm not giving a 5 Star Review is because the food choices just don't seem Italian Lasagne, Spaghetti, etc. that one would expect from an Italian Restaurant."

"The fish tacos make my taste buds sing! They have Taco Wednesdays instead of Taco Tuesdays here so that's something to keep in mind if you are a regular and never noticed! Fish tacos vary in size, but I usually eat 3 in a sitting. Be careful"

"Talk about a surprise hole-in-the-wall food spot! I 've lived around the corner from this place for years and just now tried it. I 've been missing out. The tofu salad is just packed with flavor. They definitely don 't play when it comes to spice, for anyone that likes their food spicy. Definitely coming back for more. Also! They have a Buy 3 Entree, get one FREE going on right now."

"The Jalepeno reels are wonderful. Spider rolls delish, and the sushi cook, Hiro, is wonderfully friendly, helpful and darn sweet to boot! . Every time I have been there, the people in the sushi bar are friendly, so it feels like a cozy social meeting. The menu offers creations like the Ashley Special or the Scott Special named after Shogun patrons who have earned their place there. Always make sure to check the “Special” board. My favorite specialties when they have it: The twice fried Pompano was the experience for me and I would get it again. I never dreamed I'd eat a fishhead! Tastes like bacon! The baked salmon roll is really divine. No rice. Fresh soft bowl crab, I could eat a bucket. I thought I hated Squid! But Noooo, and it has garlic shoots that my friend thought was string beans for the longest time, ha! and Enoki mushroom. With garlic and shrimp. Tiger Eye is a warm dish filled with fish in a squid. Another ruthless delicacy. I was forced to try a oyster. Not my thing. No. You don't get the clue, and I kind of end up with one. I almost crawled the last time. But they have a vegetarian oyster. So I can shoot the others now. And the unfiltered Saki reminds me of spun Horchata. Something you don't see on the menu board or the special board is the seafood salad. That's not to be overlooked. Tuna, salmon, another raw fish that comes from me now, crabs and shrimps on a bed of salad, carrots and avocado, and a wonderful dressing. Prices are reasonable, so I can afford to stop regularly. Maybe a lot too regular."
