"Had a horrible experience dining here today. Food was alright but we definitely received a lot of discrimination unlike I 've ever experienced before. Came here for lunch today with my husband and son(15 months) there was one server and one guy at the bar, seems like the manager. We were the first table there for lunch and 3 more came in during our time there. During our meal I felt the guy at the bar glaring over at us, I get that no one likes a screaming baby but my son only raised his voice a few times and when he did we would immediately try to calm him down. After we had paid and was preparing to leave, the server brought us some paper towels and said for your mess ummm ok... at this point I actually had already cleaned everything that was spilled on the table and essentially no food garbage was left, on the floor there was a few dropped napkins and a fork. I went to the washroom and when I got back I see the guy/manager standing right next to my table where my husband and son was getting dressed and he was looking at our table shaking his head then walked off as I approached. Is this standard restaurant practice to judge guests right in front of their face?? And as I was walking out the door he said to me thanks for cleaning up I 'm left wondering are you mocking me? Is this really necessary? Is it because I 'm Chinese? Because I have a baby? This sarcasm was really unnecessary, I get parents are responsible for their baby and I try to do my part to a certain extent but do you need treat your customers line this? Is not like I didn 't tip, we gave a standard 15%. Definitely left this place feeling uneasy."

"Some kind of mixed reviews here. It wasn't bad, but it's not great either. We were here several times. It can be quite loud because nothing makes the sound dead. The food is good when you get what you order, as there are often errors and omissions. The food prices seem high for what you get. I think they are often underoccupied during busy times and holidays. It is convenient as it is located next to Sandy Cove. The menu is quite typical of a Canadian restaurant. The servers seem quite hurried and not fully familiar with the menu. Management will make things right when you complain, so if things don't go right (and there is a good chance that), make sure that your concern is spoken. "Dan Davidson has a delightful restaurant. Excellent food, good service and cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended. I really appreciate how he has honoured and ķept the spirit of the original owners from the 1950s-70s, when it was called the Breeze Bar, owned and run back then by Milner Barker, Harvey Suzy Gorman. Dan has rightfully put his own stamp on the place, but the building and atmosphere carry over from the past. Definitely worth the drive. This is great for special occasions or every day. Call and reserve. They are currently doing dinners Wednesdays-Sundays. They have an inviting fireplace as well."

"Environment was okay, the food was not as good as expected, especially the oyster. Overall it was a bit pricy. With a price like that I would say you can find a better place."

"The food was not impressive for the price. The menu was great and the food came out with great presentation. We were excited to dig in! The problem was, there was absolutely no taste on anything. Mussels Bland, Oysters, where was the salty water?, Calamari cooked perfectly but again no taste. I think they forgot to add salt. I am not into super salty foods but this was an experience like no other. For $300 very underwhelmed! Service was good, our server was lovely but our mains came out before we were done the appetizers. We won't be back."
