"Great food and service. My favourite could be with the broth it’s simple and nice. May leave your name in the afternoon and come back again during their evening opening hours to avoid disappointment. As when I was there they were told sold out to customer who reach around 6.30pm. I reach around 5.40pm only get seated around 7.10pm as most of the people in front us already reserved in the noon."

"Visit for a delicious Grandmakase lunch. Eel, Horse Mackerel and Fatty Tuna were highlights. Incredibly friendly hosts and boss. If you are in the area for the gardens or brewery tour, the trip is worthwhile."

"Delicious! As the name suggests, this place specializes in fish-related dishes. I love the catch of the day sashimi plate (1800 yen), which comes with several pieces of thickly sliced raw fish, a fried fish, a cooked fish, and two vegetable side dishes. Also rice and miso soup, of course. You can choose the rice size; Medium is huge. There is usually a waiting list but the line moves very quickly. If you are not sure how to write your name in Japanese, you can write 本田 (Honda), Tom/Mary (or other generic English name) which you know you will understand within a very long string of keigo syllables."

"Hidden place in Omicho market. It’s in a little small alley at market. We ordered Kaisen-don, Salmon salad and shirako nabe (cod sperms). These were delicious and fresh. Staff very helpful and kind."

"Tasty oden and lovely staff. Definitely try their daikon, kurumabu, baigai n nodoguro. If you come to Kanazawa from November to February, the kobako crab tastes fresh only during this period."
