"Super restaurant near the Rathaus with a lovely enclosed courtyard that would be super in the summer. On the evening that we went it was quite quiet so the service was excellent. We ordered the duo of duck liver and the rack of lamb. Our...waitress quickly returned with our wine and explained that the duck had turned into a goose and asked if we minded which we didn't. So our starter duly arrived with a number of delicious grilled goose liver pieces and a mountain of salad big enough for a main course ..... then our main course arrived .... we each had a whole rack of lamb, beautifully pink and very tasty ..... and veg and potatoes .... huge! Very reasonably priced, good wine, good service, mouse friendly, well cooked food .... just too much of it"

"We couples) were there in a busy summer evening on Friday night, reserved a table inside beforehand, which was needed. Upon arrival, the man who looked like the head staff (Asian guy) seemed very stressful and clearly could not handle many requests properly at...the same time. He made us wait for our table and even forgot us totally. Finally we got our table when we approached a female staff. Drinks and appetizers arrived in a timely manner, considering the busy time. But.......we had to wait the full hours for our main dishes. The staff informed us before in the evening that the food could arrive a bit later as the kitchen was very busy, but come hours waiting time is certainly unacceptable! We arrived at and left around as the latest customers. The food was average Indonesian food. The curry tasted bland and far from spicy Indonesian curry with extensive spices, but the veggies were fresh. The staff was polite and nice during our dinner. Though upon leaving (we were the latest customers there), nobody even looked at us. I don't know if they did this because they felt ashamed of their extraordinarily slow kitchen, but it didn't feel good. You can only pay with cash here. But they informed us about this correctly at the reservation. I find that the prices of the food are too high for such an average quality. Will we go back there? Certainly not, as long as they haven't improved their management. The food is also too average for the prices. Not worth it, certainly if you have to spend the entire evening for your dinner! There are better Indonesian restaurant(s) in Cologne."
