"It was our first visit to La Roche Bernard, we had in our minds another of the quai side restaurants but having strolled the quai it was the menu at La p'tite Sirene that caught our eye. It's a small restaurant alongside the old quai. We were not disappointed. Wonderful seafood - sweet scallops as a starter, a green Thai style cod curry with just the right amount of spice and succulent grilled king prawns. It wasn't all seafood - one of our starters was a selection of stuffed mushrooms and there was also steak on the menu. Even the salad garnishes were interesting with a fresh dressing and pine nuts. We followed with a sublime cardomom and vanilla creme brulee and a crispy tart tatin. The service was friendly yet efficient. We could hear the chef singing to himself in the kitchen."
