"Excellent Hawker food in old city center recommended by a local friend. Service was very friendly. Setting is outdoor of a typical old shop lot. It's not the easiest to find as the restaurant has no signage fronting the street. It's nonetheless the busiest place among the other restaurants in the area. There were plenty of local patrons. The mud crab was certainly the highlight of the night. Apparently seasonal and was caught in the nearby mangrove swarm, it was very meaty and sweet. The deep fried squid tossed in soy went very well with an ice cold beer. Homemade tofu, salt and pepper spare ribs were also excellent. 6 diners with 4 bottles of beers, sharing a bill of RM204. Very reasonable pricing indeed. A pleasant surprise to an apparent local favourite!"

"A popular eatery for all races serving many variety of food for breakfast and lunch. Mee curry is nice and you can have both the dry or wet dishes but a bit extra spicy Their chilly sauce is their own speciality product being spicy and sweet sour which everybody loves Sweet and sour chicken is good Opens daily from around 7.30 am to around 3.00pm. Parking is not a problem and the staff are friendly Price wise is average Place is normally crowded Now they have add a bakery section"

"I had a steamboat here the other day. overall, the quality of the seafood used for the steam ship is good, but not so good, especially the squiden and the following fish balls for tom yam steam boat is not so fresh because storage area is not cold. other seasoned are ok. book early before dinner if possible because the change of table and seasoned is bad. overall quality is good, but could be better."

"Loved coming here. Very sweet couple working here preparing honest home cooked food. We had lunch just now after eating here yesterday also. Mee Basah seafood 'Wet seafood noodles ' and roti panggang (toast) with kaya jam and then martabak (fried bread) with condensed milk which was lovely. Makes a change from eating all your meals at your lodge as it spreads some money through the community. Oh it 's better food than our place anyway. Oh did I mention it 's right on the river with a great view and a nice breeze."
