"We had lunch on a Domingo as a couple. Food is good as well as the service. Nice room inside and terrace outside. Prices are still pretty high for what you get. We didn’t like the fact that service is not included and in the end you are pushed to give 10% or more as a tip. I gave 5% and the waitress looked upset."

"Stumbled upon this place, because I noticed businessmen in suits and mostly locals eating lunch here, and I knew it had to be good. There is one waiter only working inside and outside. He is efficient, blunt and fabulous. We had cheese and bread to start, wine and beer. Then fresh grilled sardines (in season now in May), and the BEST grilled cod in an onion sauce on potatoes and sauteed greens. LOVED it. Traditional Portuguese food at its best! Could be our best meal in Lisbon next to the Michelin places we went to. No joke. Obrigada! Loved it."

"Great surprise! we couldn't find a place to get dinner and randomly came here, saw the good reviews and went in. many native, nice waiters (at least one of them speak Spanish) and the most delicious seafood (like aroz caldoso.) we ordered: tomatensuppe (soup of the day:) 1,50€ meeressuppereis for 2 (or 3, if they have no huge apetit/not as big as portugiesen:) 25€ alheira (some kind of fried sausage that I would describe more like a chouriço shaped croquette with fries and ei: 7.50€ flan: 4€ agua: 1.20€ draft beer ( 1€ there was a amount confusion around the bill, but I don't think they wanted to cheat us because the 1st bill they brought was then underpriced"

"Fantastic food, really loved the veal xacita (spelling could be wrong here). Some spicy dishes, including the samosa and the dip that goes with the papadams but very manageable for those not loving chilli. For those that do, they also have plenty of hot options on the menu. Meat was really tender and full of flavour. We had hot and sour prawns, also excellent. Servings were reasonable but not huge, we had two starters and two mains and struggled to finish. It is more like a local restuarant than a tourist place, it is not big and I would hate to see it over-run with large groups but at the same time, it is good so it deserves patronage...."
