"Wow!! This unassuming little restaurant tucked just back from the main promenade is definitely worth seeking out. (In the season I would definitely recommend pre booking as it’s not a big restaurant and they were totally booked out). The menu is simple, with a limited but interesting selection of local Ligurian cuisine which was delicious. The fried anchovies were Devine, my husband had the pork which he’s still raving about and I decided to try the rooster for something different and it was superb. The owners are a super friendly couple who make you feel like you’ve stepped into their house for a dinner party. They are helpful in describing the food and then assisting you with choosing a wine to not only pair with your food but also your preference of the style of wine you normally like. We would 100% recommend this restaurant."

"A bit off the beaten track, but definitely worth finding. we had pranzo and it is a limited menu, but no problem. aglio olio perhaps the best ever. calamari so fresh and sweet and delicate vino rosso della casa very beautiful. una bottiglia di prosecco molto buona. and the waiter was a pleasure. highly recommended."

"The staff, grounds, rooms and food are all excellent. The location is wonderful as you have access to Cinque Terre and Portofino, but you can take refuge from the crowds in this little town. Orto was a truly fantastic meal."
