"Had our annual Christmas night/meal out last night at relish bar. We booked our table and paid £5 per person deposit which equates to £70 and requested one be gluten free which they said they could do. Our table was booked for 8:30pm which when arrived still had the booking prior to ours still on the table we had booked which was not an issue as we didn’t mind waiting for them to finish there drinks whilst we waited at the bar. We ended up being put at a different table as the people still on ours did not want to leave, the table we was put on did not accommodate all our party however we was given extra chairs at the table and we had to figure it out ourselves. After being sat there an hour we finally was served our starter of olives, stale bread and oil. We then went on to wait another hour for our mains of cheese and meat sharing boards nothing ordered need cooking. On speaking to the waiting staff about how much longer it would be she politely said it still hasn’t been prepared and apologised, we reminded her of the gluten free we requested for one which we was then advised they don’t have any gluten free option available! As we had waited so long we said we wish to cancel as was not happy with the service received. The manager did not once come to speak with us and left it to the poor girl who had been serving us to tell us that the manager will not refund our deposit and we had to pay for the dismal starters of £25 also even though they had already received £70. The only reason I am giving this restaurant a 1 star review is because i can not give it a zero. We will not be going to dine here in the future and advise others to stay clear."

"Approximately 1800hrs 12th July i waited until been served,which then i ordered fish chips and peas,cost a total of £8 sorry to say mushy chips the fish batter was hard not nice at all went in the bin,never again"

"Ok ...you may have your local chippy which you use because it's close to you however you gotta check this little gem out. Peter the fish fryer and owner really takes his fayre to another level. Everything is cooked to order ...no more than a 5 minute wait. The food is fresh, crisp and hot. The food is cooked in oil so NO greasy residue left in your mouth and no afternoon evening repeating those who suffer from exessive repeating from food will be surprised). The fish is specifically selected ...you will see and taste the difference and the chips are triple cooked. Peter brings take away fish and chips into the 21st century ...really understanding that quality is the key and the difference between ordinary and outstanding. I promise ...that you will not be disappointed ...and if you do not give Victoria fisheries in Guiseley you have missed a treat."

"My village pub but not been in for a good few months. Had a meal here for my partners birthday last night. Easy to book via the website, requested a table we liked no problem. Staff very friendly, prompt service and food was excellent. It is a little more expensive than other pubs in the area but often you get what you pay for and the food they serve here is not your usual 'pub grub ', it is high end restaurant quality and worth the extra cost. I had calamari to start and partner had chilli and lime jumbo prawns, then hamburger and hand cut chips, it was delicious, partner had the mixed seafood meat paella which was lovely. Very good portions. Usually quiet in the week around 5-6pm busy on Sundays and booking needed. Try it here you won 't be disappointed. Recommend it highly."
