"Bar Ruiz is a popular family restaurant right next to the beach in Alameda, nestling among the dunes. Known for it's delicious and hearty meat and fish tidiness, it also serves great tapas and paella. Booking is advised as it gets very full at weekends,...especially during summer and ask for a table outside or on the terrace where you can enjoy the views and the breeze. Tidiness need to be ordered at least 1 day in advance, so plan ahead. Lamb is great and comes in the traditional decorated pot, and the fish is served whole with lots of slow baked vegetables. I went there with friends and had a great time. Prices are reasonable 15 Euros per head for all couscous or tajine dishes. Highly recommended for a Saturday or Sunday lunch. Noisy but lively and fun!"
