"We visited last night for dinner with our friends. Firstly, the inside of the pub has a wonderful old school feel to it that is rare nowadays. Nice open fire going and great atmosphere. For food, we had a sharing platter between four of us...then for main we had the feather blade steak, duck and pork belly. All absolutely fantastic. The service throughout was superb and the wine was well priced. We left at 11 after three hours well fed and well oiled and the bill was more than reasonable for what we had. Really impressed. My only criticism would be the desert. We all had the Black Forest Eton mess and there was far too much cream and little else. It’s a shame as we all said if this was as good as the starter and main it would be up there with the best meals we have ever had. All in all, bravo to the church inn. Fantastic atmosphere, wonderful food and top level service."

"Here for the weekday dinner and it was not disappointed. I couldn't find the menu anywhere online sad, but when we arrived and had a look, there were a lot of different options for selecting (wraps, burgers, fish chips, etc. we were sitting outside. it was a nice day and there was a decent sitting area on the back. we will definitely go back, eating was great and the staff was very friendly. we have seen some low reviews here before we were visiting, but our experience was not right and we really enjoyed it."

"Good portion size, Great quality, especially like that the starter portions are a good size and not miniature like a lot of places in area.Also received a couple free beers with my orders in past and if keep receipts they give a discount on future orders.Would definitely recommend only eaten as takeaway but tempted to dine in post lockdown."

"So, ordered food tonight at it came at rather than the driver apologise and say sorry we are so late, we had a driver down, he was rude and said ur miles away it’s not worth my while driving to you!!! Even...though I’ve had lovely delivery drivers before with no problem!l and ordered numerous times !!!! U took my money, you delivered my take away over hrs later and then was rude !! Omg!!! Really!!!! Shocking, disappointed and I’ve lost a valuable customer!!!!"
